Hotel Description

The “Pouso dos Anjos” is a former Countess’ Palace recently transformed into a Hostel located near Lisbon’s downtown (5 minutes walking to Rossio’s central square).

It has about 29 cosy and well decorated rooms spread throughout 3 floors and crowned by a quiet private garden. The breakfast is included in the reservation.

Our Breakfast is continental and is served in a brand new room, from 8.30am to 10.30am.

Most of the rooms feature a en suite bathroom. We offer single, double, triple, quadruple and quintuple rooms. Each floor has several common bathrooms and we are proud of our high standard of Hygiene and Safety kept through the whole structure.

The hotel provides a Double/twin rooms decorated with antique tiles and a new quadruple room located in the garden, both with private bathroom.

Recently, Pouso dos Anjos has a new acquirement: a dorm room, that serves 12 people in two different rooms. Perfect for backpakers and low-budget travelers, the dorm has shared bathrooms (for women and men), air conditioning, lockers where the guests can keep their belongings and a dinner area.

We have a private Garden which is available for the pure leisure and relaxation of our clients.

Our staff is a melting pot of ethnicities and amongst all we manage to speak 6 languages (Portuguese, Catalan, French and English).

The Reception is open 24h and there’s always someone available to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.

At the Reception we afford Maps, Cultural Guides, Car and Restaurant bookings free, Internet access and a small bar.

Within approx. 50meters we have Bus stations (buses Nº34; 40; 208; 708), tramway station (Nº28, which can take you to Graça, Alfama, the Flee Market, the Castle, Bairro Alto and Estrela) and two Subway Stations (Anjos and Intendente, both on the Green Line; subway works between 6h30A.M. and 1h00A.M.)

The Hostel’s touching stone is its diversity and prejudice-free mentality, patent in the decoration, the staff itself and the clientele from all corners of the globe and walks of life.

* The designation 'Private Shared Bathroom' means that the room itself is private (i.e. not a dormitory) but the bathroom is common.
** Payment is done at check-in.
