Business Traveler
Got a good price for this place which was located on top of the Gold Souqs and near the waterfront. The area around the place was not much to look at, the streets were narrow and congested. The small pub was nice and the staff friendly and helpful.
I needed to wait for half an hour during check-in after finished reading Peninsula and Gulf-Times. I was there past 3pm and the counter should not have excuse for many late check-outs. Priroirty seems to be given to some dressed in white. Most of the bell boys were friendly but the one helped me to bring luggage to the room fail to tell me the Wi-fi password after promised to call me when leaving my room.
The room is huge and relatively clean. However, it was the first time to experience no daily replenishment of shaver and tooth brush. I was lucky when managed to ask for one from the housemaid on the last day. Or else, I needed to use the same disposable shaver for three days.
