Originally St. Stephen's Parochial School dating back to 1861, today this stunning building is home to one of the most unusual boutique hotels in Dublin. Thirty one deluxe guest rooms each individually decorated with original William Morris designs. All rooms are named after Irish writers and poets of distinction. Bathrooms are in keeping with the nineteenth century period and feature Victorian style power shower and suite. Each of our rooms are designed with your comfort in mind featuring super king size beds adorned with rich William Morris design fabrics and micro fibre duvets to guarantee a restful nights sleep.

Original classrooms now host the Schoolhouse restaurant for dining with a difference and the lively Schoolhouse bar. Original architectural features such as the forty foot vaulted beamed ceilings, gothic windows and baronial fireplace have been restored to create the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Renowned locally for its vibrant atmosphere the ever popular Schoolhouse bar with its lounge, mezzanine and outdoor seating areas is in a class of its own.

With a superb location in the Georgian district of Dublin, the Schoolhouse hotel is just a ten minute walk to the area’s many famous squares and buildings including Merrion Square, Trinity College and the National Gallery. City centre attractions such as St. Stephen’s Green as well as the fashionable shopping area of Grafton Street are also located close by. The hotel is nestled in the leafy suburb of Ballsbridge which is ten minutes from convention and concert venues such as the RDS and Lansdowne Road. The hotel is an official stop on the Aircoach service that departs and returns to the Airport every 15 minutes. Dart and Bus services are less than 3 minutes walk from the Schoolhouse door.
