I stayed at this Resort for 3 nights in Jul 2009 with my wife and toddler and had a wonderful experience. The 2 most positive things about this Resort are the splendid view and the friendly and helpful staff.
This Resort is perched on top of one of the hills facing Mt Kinablu - somewhat resembles an eagle's nest. The path from the main road to the resort is quite a steep climb - so it's better to go on a 4 wheel drive. It's roughly 2 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu City.
The Rooms have ceiling fan, wardrobe, dresser, TV (with some cable channels), DVD player and an electric jug. They provided a baby cot for my child at RM 35 per night. The bathroom has water heater and shower - small, basic but neat. The Resort seems to be new - so the Rooms are fairly clean.
There is only 1 resturant - the food selection isn't great - there is scope for improvement - but they are prompt.
What they don't have in terms of amenities the hotel staff make up with their helpfulness. They seem to be locals and do multiple roles.
It can get pretty chilling and windy there.
We got what we expected - a great place to relax and forget the city - it's worth the stay.
PS: There is not much recreation within the Resort - just to laze around. So you may bring your own magazines, dvds, snacks.
