Great Hotel, Very Recommended
We enjoyed a great stay at Peninsula Hotel. It was out my 29th birthday and we received complimentary fruits parcel, as well as impeccable service from concierge and waiting staff during our stay. Staff are very helpful, and friendly. The front desk staff went out of their way to help us resolve our booking glitch. They made us feel the most important guest of the hotel.
This was our third stay here and we once again had a relaxing time. Reception service was slow on our arrival but we were very happy with the room. A good value choice. We had a fantastic view over Canning Park.
Great hotel in town
Peninsula excelsior have 2 building. I'm in peninsula building at 22 floor. The hotel near to everywhere and so many people there. The hotel beside funan IT. You can get a taxi from lobby hotel. there is taxi stop near the hotel. You can get MRT too just walking about 5 minutes. There is MRT station city hall. If you want to go to raffles hotel, just walking about 10-15 minutes. It is 2 block from peninsula. You can buy food near the hotel on basement floor but non halal food. Across the street on the basement there is india food and halal.
My room was great on a high floor and bay sands hotel view. On friday-sunday you can see laser light at 8 pm, 09.30 pm and 23.00 pm from bay sands hotel. My room on executive floor that i can check in/check out and have a cocktail/snack at lounge. There is balcony on that lounge. I saw a laser light bay sands view from balcony.

Where's the WiFi?
I've been travelling a lot lately and almost all hotels provide WiFi as a standard service to its customers. However, I'm surprised that up to now Peninsula-Excelsior does not provide it yet. To us travellers, this is essential and I suggest that Peninsula-Excelsior should provide this as a regular service and free of charge. Other than that, Peninsula-Excelsior is a very ideal place to stay.

Friendly staff and extremely great location, all one can ask in walking distance.
My wife & I enjoyed our short stay. The room was large and comfortable and had two views of Singapore. The bed was more than enough for both of us. The staff in the SKY Lounge from where you could have even a better view right round were very friendly and helpful. One sad comment is that the toilet had both a bath tub & a shower, which was a good idea, but that made it small and we were uncomfortable sitting on the potty.
One thing I noticed about Singapore, which I was visiting after about 10 years, is that the quality of English spoken by almost everyone has improved a lot and made getting about, shopping etc. easy.

Good Hotel
I liked the hotel however I had requested a smoking room but was not provided one. This cause a major issue for me and they had refused to switch me to a smoking room although ones were available.
Location is super, right next to Funan Mall where there are a few local breakfast places. Also a stop for most sight seeing shuttle. Show is strong and beddings (mattress and pillow) comfortable. Web site says hotel was "recently renovated" but in fact room and some of the common area were a bit run down. Wall paper peeling off and paint coming off. There were insects running around the pentry area so a bit concern about the hygiene.
Great location
Location is good, walking distance to City Hall mrt and Raffles city. Next to it Funan Digital mall, great for electronic stuff, eatery and all sorts of shopping.
There is no stroller for loan and no free roll-in bed for small child. Also, concierge could improve on helping us with luggages upon arrival in taxi to the lobby(which is located on other floor above). It will be great if hotel could provide these services.
