Hotel was ok. "intersting" architecture. Lots of glass. Strange arrangement re elevators - you chamge half way! Arrived early - not their fault - but they offered a 'freshen up' room and it was unfindable! . An escort might have been nice. Prompt efficient help when unable to connect to internet in room and fixed in moments. Dining room and breakfast in price were ok - not special but it made no pretence to be. Staff nice. It's singapore hey! You get cleanliness and efficiency as a basic human right and anything else you have to pay for. This was a costly by world standards but below average price for singapore and in that sense worth the money. And location - perfect - quiet, safe, on the river, surrounded by classy restaurants and food outlets or all sorts. I wont stay in orchard again - this is better, nearest mrt clarke quay - about 5oo meters so not walkable with luggage.
