We arrived at the Amara at 2.30...
We arrived at the Amara at 2.30 in the morning to be met at the door by the duty manager and doorman. They had been waiting for us, and the whole check in process was undertaken by the duty manager while we sat in the lounge. The bedroom was spacious and well appointed.
Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty of choice. We were allowed to sit and eat, and were never rushed because the table was needed. Food was hot and tasty, with eggs cooked fresh to order.
Although the hotel was not on the Orchard Road, it was well placed to visit a large range of attractions, with the MRT station a very short walk away giving fast, efficient access to all areas. The staff were friendly and without exception, made an effort to help.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable holiday made special by the care and friendliness of the hotel. We are both up for a re-visit and would definately stay at the Amara again.
