The best thing about this property was...
The best thing about this property was the pool. It was very nice, quiet and well maintained. Good pool for doing laps or just reading a book. The staff is friendly and the hotel is attached to a small mall so you need only walk out of one door, and you are in the mall. Very nice. The restaurant selection is good. Compared to others I have stayed in, this one ranks as one of the best...........

Thanks to everyone that writes a review,it really helps when trying to plan a holiday. Good hotel near to chinatown and easy to get to underground.You can get anywhere in Singapore easily. Hotel is very clean and efficient,facilities are good and breakfast was excellent. Easy to catch a taxi to the airport,cost less than $20 singapore for the trip. First time I have used AsiaRooms,perfect - no problems. Regards Mark - Australia

This was our second time at the...
This was our second time at the Amara. The Hotel is becoming a little old in looks but the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious for our needs and the very clean. Any porblems with the room was corrected quickly. The breakfast was OK but I felt a bit below standard for this class of hotel. On occassions you has to wait for some items to be replenished. The hotel is in a quite section of Singapore but there is a MRT station close to the hotel so it take only about 10mins to reach Orchard Road and the shopping centers in the city. Chinatown is about at 10min walk from the hotel. Clark Quay is also in easy reach of the Amara.

Good 4 star service and great breakfast. 5...
Good 4 star service and great breakfast. 5 minute cab ride to town centre. Amazing wake up system. Flashing lights and sirens. Highly recommend. AsiaRooms reliable as usual.

Not friendly, gave me a hard time because I booked thru a a internet site NOT direct with hotel treated like a 2nd class citizen ... Gave me room 1313.

It is located near the business center, so it was good for our purpose. The rooms were spacious and clean, only a little worn down. No complaint.

I reserved the most expensive room but...
I reserved the most expensive room but was not given a room on the club floor, rather just an ordinary room. I paid $50 per night extra and received nothing for it. Otherwise I was quite happy. It is now an old hotel but still nice.

We enjoyed staying at the hotel; the location was excellent. And the staff was very friendly and warm. The breakfast menu was quite good...and the prices for the room was reasonable. This is a good hotel for the business traveler. We will stay here again.
