Great value
Hotel was great value and I saved a lot by booking through Asiarooms. Some reviews said the internet was expensive so was really surprised to hear when I checked in that the internet was included!
Hotel very clean, staff very very friendly and helpful. Two gripes.
1. Gym was full of very old but working equipment which was a surprise as the rest of the hotel was very modern.
2. Breakfast buffet was absolutely tastless. Lots of it available but nothing was good. If it wasn't included, we would be across the road to the hawker centres for a meal.
Would stay again for sure as the deal had the room for the same price as a Hotel 81!

Great place for access to the airport and city in Singaporre. Has a very nice location for access to the park near the beach and shopping mall. Recommended for a weekend together with the family

be careful !!!
The room and environment were good. But i felt cheated, because, Asiarooms and Grand Mercure always said in the beginning that i will get 2 free breakfast for my children. But it was not ! On the first morning, my children went to the restaurant to have a free breakfast, the hotel staff refused to let them in. She said that, it was free if the parents also came to have breakfast with the children (and parents not get a free breakfast !). Very dissapointing. You guys succesfully cheat and being dishonest with the statement you made on the booking confirmation. So, all of you, please make clear everything before make a deal with Asiarooms and Grand Mercure.

unexpected stay
The concierge is very friendly. Surprisingly, the location is located to the local food and market which we like very much! It has the local character.
It is easily accessible by public transport (bus) to anywhere in Singapore, shopping center and entertainment area.
The only drawback, we don't know about free-transport from the airport so we took a taxi which is still OK as the hotel is conveniently close to the airport.
Grand Mercure Roxy is highly recommended, it's a good value for money.

Quality of room was good but not suitable for family. Our reservation specifically indicated 2 beds to accomodate 2 adults and 2 children but this was not available upon check in nor was the addition of an extra bed. We had only 1 double bed for 4 people. No rectification,apology, or compensation given.

Highly Recommend
Our family 2 adults and 2 children absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. We decided to stay here as it was out of the city and close to the beach and parks. We were picked up at the airport and as we we were there early could not book into our room but the hotel staff arranged for our bags to be held until our room was ready. We spent 2 days at East Coast Park where our children hired roller blades and swam. It was also easy enough to visit the Zoo and Science Centre which are on the other sides of the city. Singapore was extremly hot and humid but it is very beautiful and clean and we thorougly enjoyed our 5 day stopover. I would recommend this hotel and if we were to visit again would have no hesitation to stay here again. All the staff we delt with while staying at the Mecure Roxy were very helpful and friendly.

Like it!
We stayed for 5 nights with 2 children aged 4 and 6. After a slightly slow check-in and a follow-up phone call to have an extra bed brought to the room we found everything to be excellent. We slept 3 in the large double bed and 1 on the extra bed and the room still felt spacious. The hotel pool was excellent and helped us cope with the heat. The shopping centre opposite was great for cheap eating out options. The hotel provides free transfer buses to/from the airport and the closest MRT (train) station which we made use of. Would stay here again.

Spacious room but not centrally located
We picked this hotel cause it was the only one that turned up on the search for a room that could fit our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teenager and 1 child). It worked out cheaper than 2 separate rooms. The room was certainly spacious. We got a King size bed (fit 2 persons) and an extra bed. We could also have opted for 2 double beds if we wanted to. No complaints about the hotel. Good service and facilities. But if you plan to see the city, shop and dine at all the hot spots, you better have a car which we did have. It's a short drive to Orchard and Clarke Quay. But forget about using the MRT as the station is quite a bit away from the hotel. However, we did discover some little cafes and kopitams closeby. In summary: great and spacious for families. But don't forget the car.

Due to a retimed flight (thanks tiger airways...) we didnt get to hotel til 5am, was able to get late check out (2pm). room excellent, service fantastic, only complaint was we were meant to have a fold out bed for one of our kids but ended up with a king size and 2 in with us...couldnt be bothered arguing just wanted to sleep...got a bit of sleep. went down to restuarant in hotel for lunch (breakfast for us)... probably cheaper options around (inc taxes about 50 SD per adult) they didnt charge for our kids though (thankyou!!!) (2AND 3 YRS OLD) Food was awesome though... woulda been well worth it if we had a few hrs to sit and eatClose to airport so great to stay at for stop over...

This is the second time we have stayed here and it is a perfect location to shopping, buses and Pizza Capers Gourmet Pizza on East Coast Rd.
