We only had one night at the Mercure, but stayed there last year as well. Its location is good for transit, but not for a holiday, so depends what you want. The hotel itself is very pleasant with a nice pool and the breakfast is good, but doesn't start early enough for an airport hotel. The tranfers too should go through the night as they do at the Changi Village Le Meridien in my opinion. I would stay there again in transit to or from a cruise if it suited our needs. Pre cruise stayed a couple of days at the Phoenix as part of our package which is a much better location to get around from, being close to MRT.
