A lovely chinese style hotel with great...
A lovely chinese style hotel with great staff. Location is ideal for chinatown and its quite even though you have clubs and restaurants close by. The rooms are very small, very cosy but not really enough space to lay out your clothes. i would have preferred larger rooms so will look for such next time.

Although the hotel looked really cute from the outside, the rooms were very small and dingy. The sheets and towels were in very poor condition. The pictures posted are deceiving, as the rooms are more warn down then the pictures lead you to believe.

I booked this hotel based on the...
I booked this hotel based on the previous reviews and I was SO dissapointed. I got room 208, right across from the elevators and I looked at another room on this floor and it looked just like the one I stayed in. The bathroom has no bathtub, you have to close the lid to the toilet before taking a shower because its an open space. The room does not have a clean feeling, I watched TV most of the night because I didn't feel comfortable sleeping. The room was small, the bed and one night stand fit snuggly between the walls. Next door is hotel 1929 and that looked 10x's better than this one. I dont know where the other reviewers stayed, but I didn't see anything close to the pictures.

Hotel is well situated in Chinatown and...
Hotel is well situated in Chinatown and provides a good guide to the local restaurants. TV stations are a little limited, only local channels. However, rooms were clean and staff very friendly and helpful. A much better choice than some souless chain hotel.

The front desk staff was professional and helpful to us and also very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel! The room was adequate size and the bed was very comfortable.

Would definately recommend to a friend, however in the details it said that it included breakfast which was somewhat misleading breakfastcomprised of some bread available and a toaster, in the corner of reception, otherwise it was a really enjoyable stay close to the MRT and very friendly staff, who on the last day after we checked out let us leave our bags and collect them before we left later on for the airport.

We thought this hotel was excellent value....
We thought this hotel was excellent value. Hotels in Singapore are expensive compared to elsewhere in S.E.Asia and it was good to find the Chinatown hotel. Its clean,good location and it would be hard to find better value in this price range.
