I spend around 2 weeks 2-3 times...
I spend around 2 weeks 2-3 times a year in Singapore and is a must place to visit. I usually try a new hotel now and again, and went for the Elizabeth on price and location, as you must stay as near to Orchard Road as you can get. This is the heart of Singapore, and is shopping and food heaven. I'm a guy who doesn't like shopping, but here it is a buzz, and food selection is huge, ranging from fish'n'chips, KFC, to curries, noodles, and dishes with things still crawling in it!!!
The Elizabeth was probably one of the worst I've stayed in though, as the food was not that nice, we found ourselves eating in the hotel across the road (The York, wonderful, stayed there next time). Windows were dirty & mouldy, room was not cleaned properly each day, and the hotel as a hole was dark & gloomy.
Internet access is reasonable here, compared to some others, but many people with the Centrino system will be able to piggy back a free service near by. Not always legal, so change your computer name daily, and DO NOT look at porn in Singapore.
Overall the Elizaveth is good for 1-2 nights if you don't want top class, but for the same price nearby you can get much better....York, Orchard, Crown Prince.

Very good value for money. Close to Orchard Road, in a quiet area, with well furnished clean rooms and helpful staff. This hotel would cost well over a hundred pounds in London.

Situated really close to major shopping areas, clean and very nice. Friendly staff!! Breakfast buffet is a big plus!! Not too expensive either!! highly recommend!!

The hotel was very centrally located to the heart of Singapore which was great. The pool was fantastic. The only thing that I could fault was the breakfast could do with some variation from day to day.

We found The Elizabeth to be very satisfactory. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, even though the hotel at that moment was fully packed. Price-wise was reasonable, a little on the high side but the standard was very good. Our children were fascinated with the glass lifts! Yes, I'd recommend it to all my friends who visit Singapore.

Yes, I would definitely recommend it! The rooms were very nice, and the staff was wonderful. Just watch out for the bathtubs--a bit narrow!

Our stay at the Elizabeth was a very postive experience. The location was good and the staff very courteous. The Elizabeth is a beautiful hotel. We used their tour desk for a trip to the Night Safari and that worked out well. The only slightly negative comment we could make is that the quality of the scones and jam in their high tea should improve. We would definately reommend it.
