From start to finish the Hotel was...
From start to finish the Hotel was a delight. Compared to other Hotels in the City (Raffles and the Swiss Hotel to name two), the atmosphere was always welcoming - regardless of whether you were a guest or not. The up-grade to a river view room had already been done without us asking and staff could not have been more polite or helpful. The room had spectacular views over the river during the day and of the Cityscape at night. Even though we were staying for 10 days bed linen was changed daily and towels several times per day. Breakfast was truly international and ample enough to miss lunch! Restaurants were a delight and we were fortunate enough to be the only Westerners in Jade on the Chinese New Year. The staff spent a lot of time talking us through the Chinese New Years traditions (i.e. tossing the salad etc)and were great. Afternoon tea at the Fullerton is the nearest thing to perpetual motion I have seen. The plate was barely empy before it was full again! If I wwas to be really picky, the technology in the room was perhaps ready for a re-fresh. It was OK but somewhere to plays CDs or plug an iPod into would have been useful. Broadband in the room is useful for confirming flight reservations. All in all - perhaps the best hotel we have ever stayed in and the only Hotel I would want to stay in when we return.

The hotel public areas are very impressive, lobby, atrium, bars etc however we were disappointed with the size of the room, a little on the small size for what we were being charged. We stayed in a quay room and expected a view over Boat Quay but were looking over the road and harbour instead. When we enquired we were told as we did not request to look over Boat Quay we were allocated the other option...however breakfast on the terrace overlooking Boat Quay partly made up for this disappointment! Very close to the MRT, taxis always plentiful. Overall an enjoyable stay!

The staff were very helpful, always pleasant,...
The staff were very helpful, always pleasant, even at 4 AM. We found the bed to be uncomfortably high, with a hard mattress. The buffet dinner was delicious with plenty of variety.

I generally stay at Shangri La in...
I generally stay at Shangri La in Singapore and this was my first stay at Fullerton. My friends had adbised me that Fullerton is supposed to be no.1 in Singapore followed by Shangri La. Although nothing wrong with the hotel and it has all the comforts that a hotel of this class should have, I still carry an impression that Shangri La rooms,staff and ambience is better. In nutshell Shangri La would be a better choice over Fullerton given the present rate of both hotels.

the accomodations were better than we expected...
the accomodations were better than we expected and immaculate. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel is located on the Singapore River next to Boat Quay. My husband and I enjoyed strolling at night along the river and visiting the restaurants and bars.

Could not recommend this hotel highly enough,...
Could not recommend this hotel highly enough, the service, room and common areas of the hotel were second to none. We would need to think carefully to find any fault, and were a little disappointed at receiving an additional charge for using the business centre without warning, but overall a six star experience in all aspects.

The room we were initially provided with...
The room we were initially provided with was a "contracted upgrade" which was strange. This room was noisey due to traffic from 2 roads. When asked to change room offered was two single beds on a smoking floor or a suite at $300 extra per night! Service was ok but took a lot to get the room changed to what was booked in the first instance.... Given the excuse that the hotel was busy?!
