This used to be a very smart...
This used to be a very smart hotel. It now needs a great deal of money spent on it to restore it to it's former glory. Renovations were happening while we were there and I thought it would have been fit and proper for the hotel to advise us of this when we made our booking. This hotel does not represent good value for money and was saved by it's very professional service, particularly in the restaurant.

this is the second time we have...
this is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we would be delighted to do so again. it has been v tastefully renovated and the staff were most attentive and helpful-esp the front desk staff. the food in the hotel is also excellent. the second pool is a well kept secret.

The hotel met all of my expectations....
The hotel met all of my expectations. I booked on a recommendation from my nephew and I was not disappointed. Perfect location, within easy reach of all major atteations in Singapore, and of course very easy for shopping on Orchard Road! The staff provided us with excellent service at all times and we would certainly recommend Goodwood Park to friends and family who may be travelling to Singapore in the future.

A bad room in a good hotel....
A bad room in a good hotel. The room was of a reasonable size but nothing like the brochure and was of a standard not suited to a one star hotel. Stained walls and carpets and mould on bathroom walls. On protest I was told that for the rate I paid this was the standard. I eventually was moved after the first night to a room which was de-luxe. The included breakfast was only continental but of a good standard. The general hotel facilities and especially the swimming pool areas are very good. I was told that the bedrooms are being upgraded ready for a ‘relaunch’ of the hotel. All in all, having had an excellent holiday start in the Bangkok Marriott this was a poor finish.

This was a totally enjoyable experience. ...
This was a totally enjoyable experience. Like much of Singapore..there is a need for hands on management. No general manager or duty manager ever appeared...all were left to do on their own. Thus, we have efficiency at the cost of true service. The main dining room....is in need of much attention. The food is excellent...the service is lacking...it is artificial, slow, impersonal, automatic.....not a restaurant to which i would return

Well situated hotel for our requirements. Friendly and efficient staff. Generally a very good atmosphere about the place. Good value - would definitely recommend it to anyone and will stay when next in Singapore.
