Basic rooms but great location for shopping. Staff were helpful once pressed for information. For a budget option I was happy.

Very low-cost hotel for the location it...
Very low-cost hotel for the location it is in. One block of Orchard Road cannot be beat for the low price of US$50 I got my room for (two twin beds). While the hotel is a little aged, it is kept very well and even has a pool on Level 3. Very good hotel, excellent staff, fantastic price. Don't get me wrong though, this is no 5 or 4 star hotel. It's great, but it's not some luxurious palace. It's for the budget minded traveler who wants to be in the thick of it all on the east-side of Orchard Road. 5 minute walk to the Somerset MRT station, taxis at the hotel, restaraunts all over, and a few lower-budget KTV lounges in the neighborhood. Did I mention it had washers/dryers on my floor (eight)???? It did.
