It's a basic hotel with some unfriendly and inefficient staff. Hotel is old and needs refurbishing. There is no manual adjustment to the room's airconditioning unit, so you have to contend yourself with it. Hotel needs to buy new towels and bed sheets. Breakfast not so good with very few choices. I had a horrible and embarassing experience in this hotel with one of the hotel's staff named Tam Swe Kim. She is very rude! My husband and I were already on our 3rd day and final stay at the hotel, when this lady said in a loud voice that I can't be allowed to take my buffet breakfast and demanded that I should pay her $14.00SGD before I can be allowed to eat. Puzzled, I asked her why is she asking me to pay after we have been having our breakfast at their coffee shop for the past 2 days already. She uttered again in a loud voice that I need to pay her at once and I can't be allowed to enter. There were other guests during that time who heard what she has been saying repeatedly. It was so embarrasing! I have never been treated like this before! She should have told me discreetly and in a calm manner. What she did was foul. I felt as if I have committed a crime. So I decided to go to the front desk and clarified the matter to their front desk officer. Front desk said that according to their data, our room was registered to one person only. I immediately showed to her the voucher from Asia Rooms that our room is for two adults with breakfast included. It was the same voucher we showed her upon check in. Upon seeing it she immediately handed me a breakfast voucher. She did not even say sorry for the inconvenience and embarrasment I went through. They were very inefficient. I won't go back to this hotel anymore. The staff needs to be briefed on how to treat their guests. They should treat their customers with respect!
