An Oasis in Orchard Road
Great place with an excellent atmosphere and friendly people.
I highly recommend paying a bit extra and staying in the Premier Club its well worth the extra pampering.
Has one of the best equipped Gyms.
Good location next to MRT, Parks, local eateries and of of course right in the main shopping road of Singapore.
Where is my morning paper?
Stay was ok. Initial battle at reception about inconsistencies with Asia rooms booking and hotels expectation of the booking. Was all over paying $65 extra for a child bed which was booked through Asia rooms. Hotel did not pick it up on their booking.
The second time this has occurred and is obviously embarrassing for all to be arguing over paying extra at the front counter for something that had already been paid for..
Newspaper was never delivered to my room despite numerous personal requests.
Breakfast was average only and nothing special.
Members loungeand facilities is a big plus for this hotel.
Overall stay was good and was good location.
Why so much information needed on check in?
I stayed at the Concorde with my family. Check in was the usual with credit card presentation etc but for some reason they had to have all the details in the passports of my family and who was staying at the hotel.
This seems to me to be over the top with collection of private information and who is controlling identity fraud in Singapore? Perhaps not at this hotel but to me if I am paying the account thats the only information required, I see no purpose in them requiring my passport numbers and that of my wife and infant children..
This collection of information is quite unnecessary and simply makes check in far more onerous than it should be..
Family trip
Hotel is situated at the Orchard street which is main shopping and walking street in the city so the location is excellent. Our room was very nice and cozy and they accommodated us (2 adults + 2 kids 7 and 13) into the one room which was excellent solution for us. Our room had a balcony with pool view. Pool is quite big and deep so you can dive and there are space for swimming. We did not eat in the hotel because breakfast was not included into the room's price. Would definitely stay in this hotel again.

My wife & I took a very short break from my hectic schedules. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Concorde Hotel. It was very central, with easy access to various facilities around.
Located on Orchard Road, made it more convenient.

Parking Fo Guests
No valet parking give us a lot of inconvenient.The parking lots for hotel guests are limited and only on first come first serve basic.
Every bay of the parking lot is guarded with two front & back poles & an immediate pole in between. This cause a lot of inconvenient when the driver open his door and that will bent on the immediate pole.Very bad system. Need to improve.

Great Location
It's an old hotel but has been refurbished. Our room is great, it looks exactly like in the picture. Although the bathroom is a bit old, yet we found no problem at all. The staff are really friendly, especially the doorman and the concierge, they're really helpful.
The pool area is not that interesting, but if you're only looking for a place to swim, it's okay. Since this hotel is attach to a shopping center down stair, whenever you want to go to the main road, you need to go to 2nd fl of shopping center and walk through the old mall.
Overall, I love this hotel, especially the comfortable room.

There was an error made by Asia...
There was an error made by Asia Room on the internet booking form with regard to the number of persons booked. Instead of 2 adults which was correct, the booking was for 3 adults and one child which caused a query as to the type of room we were given and the charge for that room. To compensate, reception included breakfast for our three day stay, then 12 hours later, the breakfasts were cancelled. It was unprofessional and not good PR. The entry into the hotel for cars, taxis arriving is very good but the exit for clients leaving the hotel by foot could be improved. Otherwise our stay was pleasant.
