we arrived and as our room was not quite ready we were upgraded to a Deluxe room at no extra cost. The hotel was great value for the cost, is in a great location on Orchard road with easy access to the under ground rail, buses and as my wife would say most important the shopping. The staff were very helpful, supportive and friendly and we enjoyed the bar and restaurant food. The management and staff should be very proud of the service they provide and the establishment they provide with pride. Our friends stayed at the Trader's hotel, and were very envious of our hotel,room size and value of the the Orchard. We would definitely stay at the Orchard if we came to Singapore again and already we have passed on this feedback to friends who are travelling to Singapore in the next 12 months
