And now this hotel will receive a...
And now this hotel will receive a decent remark from an American who is a world traveler. Most of the comments are from Aussies and Asian's that I do not think have much experience in travel. I checked hotels for several months on the Internet and I guessed correctly when I chose the Orchard hotel in Singapore. The hotel is between a 4 Star and 5 Star hotel in my estimation. And, the price was well worth the stay. The hotel is located at the end of beautiful Orchard St. the main street for expensive shopping. If you want cheap shopping take a cab to China town. Make sure you try on everything in Chinatown because the sizes vary widely no mater how they are marked. Back to the hotel - the breakfast buffet is fabulous; the hotel very clean; the front desk staff and wait staff superb; the room spacious. I could not find one fault with the hotel and absolutely would stay there again and again!

Rooms good and comfortable, Great location and accessability to shopping, restaurants, clubs, offices and public transport. I have stayed several times and have enjoyed the experience each visit. Check in-out is reasonably quick and efficient and breakfast is very good. Recommended.

The hotel has a good location, especially if shopping is the prime reason for staying in Singapore. Overall the hotel is nice. Staff are friendly.

The room is spacious, clean and bright, the beds and pillows are comfortable, staff is polite and competent, everything is perfect here. My 12 years old daughter and 6 years old son love the hotel very very much. The swimming pool is nice and the buffet breakfast is excellent. Good location for shopping, eating, taking bus or MRT. I truly appreciate Asiarooms.com provided an attractive price and my family enjoyed a very relaxing stay in Orchard Hotel, highly recommended!

We spent 3 nites for a family...
We spent 3 nites for a family trip with kids staying in the Superior Room. The room is much smaller than expected especially the bathroom where it was quite hard to manage little babies. Overall it was clean and the staff very friendly. This would be fine without kids but would recommend bigger rooms for families even at a slightly higher premium. Breakfast was good with a range of cuisine for any visitor.

My first visit to Singapore, the location...
My first visit to Singapore, the location of this hotel was perfect, away from the busy end of Orchard Rd, but all amenities very accessible.Excellent bus service and taxis are easily available and cheap. I could not fault the hotel. I only ate breakfast there and the buffet was extensive to suit all tastes.

The Orchard hotel can be recommended as business hotel, if money does not play a major role. The location is good. The breakfast is more Asian then European, but still okay. This class of hotel should have complementary internet access! The internet access is relatively expensive. In the future I will avoid hotels with no or expensive internet access. Asiarooms should give the possibility of searching for hotels with complementary internet!

Nice hotel in excellent location. Rooms well...
Nice hotel in excellent location. Rooms well furnished, has flat screen TV, clean. Bathrooms have separate bath and shower. Just 7 minute walk from Orchard MRT and other shops on Orchard Road such as Shaw House, Wheelock Plaza, Tangs, Takashimaya. Good value when rates are discounted otherwise probably quite pricey. Services is below average - the conceirge did not or refused to give advice on how to get to Suntec City via train, implied that we should take a taxi. Again on check-out they were keen on us taking a taxi to the airport when we wanted to take the MRT.
