Was upgraded but room turned out to be the normal room (south tower) which i usually stay anyway. Not sure how it works but expected room upgrade to be for bigger n better room.

I recently stayed at Raffles Plaza hotel for a week whilst on business and could not fault the hotel or the staff at all. Staying in the south wing I found the room had a great new look. Plenty of space with a King Size bed (very comfortable), lounge, huge bathroom and good size desk to do some work. The choice of breakfast outside by the pool is the best bet though as downstairs can get very busy, although the staff are great. Excellent location on top of Raffles City shopping and MRT. Will stay again.
Wow, we got a great room in...
Wow, we got a great room in the South Tower of the Raffles Plaza and it made all the difference. Originally we were very dissappointed, got a room low down overlooking an intersection!! But the staff went that extra mile and managed to eventually get us a beautiful room on the 25th floor overlooking the city and harbour. We then got sent a bottle of wine and personalised notes apologising for the original room. Again, the extra little touch. The room was fabulous, the position wonderful, the views sublime, the breakfast sumptious, not much more to be said really. An affordable piece of luxury, South Tower much better than the North Tower with views the other way.

Raffles Plaza is a great hotel, enjoyed our stay. Spa was great i enjoyed a great massage. Hotel close to all attractions. Staff very helpful. We would stay again.

I'm a singaporean and i'm proud to say this is one of the best hotel stay i ever had. I stay there for a total of 4 times at the Raffles Plaza. The last time i stay was during my ROM and i stay in one of the junior suite. It was awesome. The bathroom was so spacious, almost the size of the deluxe bedroom. The staffs are very friendly. I enjoy the breakfast too although sometimes i complained about waking up too early because the bed is so comfortable.
The hotel was also very accessible to everywhere in Singapore. There is a MRT just below the hotel. I would love to go back and stay again.
This is the best hotel we have...
This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at as a family. Our children were wowed by the experience especially the Bose sound system in the bathroom. Difficult enough to get a teenager out of there at the best of times. Staff at reception could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent and again the staff very attentive and genuinely kind to the children. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and intend to stay there again next visit to Singapore.

A wonderful hotel in a great location. Breakfast at the coffee shop was good and the staff was friendly. Our room was great with a fantastic view. Front desk staff could be friendlier but I would definitely stay here again.

Overall this was a disappointing experience. Deluxe rooms (which I wrongly assumed would be 'deluxe') are the basic standard rooms in the north tower. Mine smelled badly and had several problems, including faulty air conditioning. After complaining, I was upgraded to the nicer south tower rooms, but even then some things did not work.
The breakfast selection looks substantial but was generally tasteless (why no pancakes?) with long queues for eggs. And how is it that the pool serves two hotels with over 1,000 rooms? At a week-end it was inpossible to find seating for 2. I agree that the location is great, but I will stick to other hotels in the area in future.
