Disappointing
This is the second time I have stayed at the Rednezvous when there have been extensive building works in progress. On this visit the works involved noise from 9am to 6pm (plus) and closure of the lobby, bar and swimming pool. There was no reduction in room rate for the inconvenience, although when I requested as quite a room as possible I was told I had been upgraded to a Deluxe room which would be quieter than the room I had been allocated.The Deluxe room was in poorer shape than Standard rooms I have stayed in previously at the Rendezvous. Bathroom tiles were dirty and mouldy, wallpaper was peeling and it was generally tired and run down. It was, however, probably quieter than some other rooms.
I understand that hotels have to be renovated but feel It would be fair and helpful if when booking customers are advised if renovations are taking place.
