This was the first time we had booked accommodation on the Net and were a little nervous, however asiarooms.com delivered and the hotel was expecting us, We have been to Singapore many time and stayed at several of the major hotels and had stayed at the same hotel some years ago when it was the Holiday Inn Crown Plaza, there were no surprises, the room was almost exactly the same, and showed no sign of refurbishment in the intervening years, carpets etc were grubby, and only a queen sized bed, although the lobby had been extensively renovated. My wife had expressed a thought we might stay at another hotel at Clark Quay area but on departure said she was glad we stayed in the Orchard area.
Hotel is well located and convenient for shopping, the staff were always pleasant and helpful and service was good. The mini bar was a bit of a bonus, though not the claimed value (We aren’t big drinkers and found it adequate) but 2 cans of local beer, 3 cans of soft drink and a couple of bottles of water a day seemed to be a long way from the claimed $Sng46.60 net value, it was restocked each day.
