Our overall stary was okay but, first,...
Our overall stary was okay but, first, the room DID NOT HAVE A WINDOW!! I mean, I had gone to Singapore on holiday and obviously I would have loved to have stayed in a hotel room which had a window. I never thought I would have to specify this since all hotels in India, across categories, will have a room with a view (whether the view is good, average or poor is, of course, a differnt issue). Secondly, the Summerview restaurant does not have facilities for a diabetic. My mother had forgotten to take her sugar substitute pills and I thought I would have some from the hotel during breakfast. But the lady attending us seemed rather surprised when I asked her if any sugar-free substitute was available. These things are freely avaialble in any restarurant, hotel, eatery etc US, Canada and Europe and why not since lifestyle deseases are definitely on the rise and people in general have become so health conscious. I suggest Summerview rectifies on the second issue even if it can't do anything about the first. Regards Madhumita

I enjoyed my stay at the Summer...
I enjoyed my stay at the Summer view hotel on Bencoolen street in Singapore. It's located at the city center and within walking distance to many shopping centers like Mustafa and little India as well as Sim Lim square.It's also close to Orchard road shopping centers. Also close to very good Chinese, Indian , Korean, Japanese and Turkish restaurants.A very cheap internet cafe is just across the road. The hotel location is quite convenient for hiring taxis. It's far from traffic light and from no parking areas. So you don't have to wait long for a taxi. Most of the times you will find a taxi waiting in front of the hotel. The hotel staff is very efficient. When you were out, they received all the incoming messages in writing and inform you with a slip of paper as soon as you come back. The room cleaning staff is also very efficient. They make up your room as soon as the guest goes out. In fact they are waiting for you to go out and "make up the room " sign. Most of the room cleanng is finished by 10 am.

Summerview is good value. Staff are courteous....
Summerview is good value. Staff are courteous. Rooms are small but comfortable,adequate for a couple of nights but probably not for a week. Very convenient and you don't pay for services you don't need.

The room was really claustrophobically small!! the frontdesk receptionist gave me a room with a very small window but to my surprise the view was the other side of the same hotel! otherwise the location was very convenient if you want to shop at Suntec mall but if your priority is to go to the malls along orchard, then you have to take MRT. I would not recommend to claustrophobic people.

Summerview Hotel location is good, away from...
Summerview Hotel location is good, away from the hassle and bustle of Orchard Road, yet only two blocks away from Orchard. Convenient to get around by taxi, or by bus (bus stop right across the hotel). Toilets are clean, rooms are clean, but the carpets need vacuuming. Breakfast need variation! Instead of sausage everyday, you can have bacon, ham, spring roll, etc. Good value for money!

Nice hotel and clean hotel. But everytime we want go to the hotel by taxi, the driver didn't know where the Summerview Hotel is. So, we have to bring name card of this hotel and show the driver. One more thing, the breakfast was very pity and no variation. But, it's reasonable because of the low rate.

I stayed at the Summerview hotel recently...
I stayed at the Summerview hotel recently and found it to be very clean, friendly and is in a good location ( 5 minutes walk from Raffles Hotel ). MRT is also only a few minutes walk from the hotel which will take you almost anywhere you might want to go! I would stay at this hotel again but this time I would ask for a room away from the main road as this can be a little noisy ( just a little! ). Overall I was very happy with the hotel and the service it provided!
