Friendly staff
We stayed in singapore 8years ago in a hotel on orchard road, when we checked the price of the previous hotel it was 4times more expensive so we decided to look for less expensive accommodation hence we booked summer view.
Our first impression was how friendly and helpful the staff were. We were on the 7th floor which was fine, the room had everything we needed and was spacious enough but was in need of redecorating. The bathroom was very much the same. All in all apart from needing a couple of coats of paint and maybe a new carpet the room had air con, a fridge and coffee/tea making facilities all you need for a couple of nights. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, cereal and various cooked items as well as toast, and the coffee was not too bad either.
Two things we were not too happy about was only getting 2towels (not very soft or white, now Im been picky) but I am sure if we had asked we could have got more. Secondly was the price of a small tin off tiger beer, 9dollars each, extortionate when we only paid 11dollars for 2bottles that were twice as big in the local restaurants.

Convenience & Comfortable enough
Good enough, friendly staff, clean, close to bugis, easy to connect to any place in SG. Recommended.

Conveniently located and affordable hotel
The Summerview Hotel is cenrally located on Bencoolen Street and is a nice, clean, well priced hotel with friendly helpful staff. I have stayed here twice before and will again the next time I'm in Singapore

good location,good budget hotel,breakfast could be better,hotel staff is good and curteous.will stay again good to go and sleep get up have quick breakfast and leave for the day.Don't forget to take all your toiletories.

Short yet sweet stay
i checked into Summer Tavern on 31December.upon arrival,my partner and myself were greeted with a warm smile from the male receptionist.he confirmed our reservation,gave our room key and offered us another room option in the case that we didn't like the first one..now,that's a nice gesture that came from him..which i think,he exceeded guest expectation:) we went up to the room and found that the room was very much to our expectation.we had a gd nite's stay there and was even offered a complimentary late checkout the next day..we definitely will come back again to stay there:)

A friendly place to stay
We found all reception/lobby staff welcoming, & house maid cleaned the room to a very acceptable standard, & were always courteous. Breakfast was always filling and the restaurant staff very efficient. The airconditioning in the room was fantastic, and fridge was cold but could do with being slightly bigger as we stayed for 8 nights.Standard room was fine,we were happy with it.

Good location, walk to shops,and Bugis MRT....
Good location, walk to shops,and Bugis MRT. Bus across the road. Older Hotel but price suited me as a single occupant. My room was small, clean, air-conditioned twin bedroom with wardrobe, 50cm. crt TV with local channels, small frig.,desk & 1 chair, Tea & Coffee facilities linnen & towels changed daily, The bathroom had shower over the bath, toilet and basin, bring your own soap and shampoo. The view from my window was of a 4X4 M. concrete tower lined with air conditioners, but not all rooms are the same,some face the road. Wireless internet is available but expensive and access is via 1,2 or 3 hour blocks that have to be used in 1 go. I used the Internet cafe a couple of doors up the road towards SimLim square for $1 per hour. Breakfast was tea,cofee, juice, toast, fried eggs, hash browns, noodles with veges, baked beans, fruit, no cereals.

The rooms are really small, just enough...
The rooms are really small, just enough for budget travellers like us. It is walking distance from Bugis street nightmarkets and foodstalls.
