Friendly staff
We stayed in singapore 8years ago in a hotel on orchard road, when we checked the price of the previous hotel it was 4times more expensive so we decided to look for less expensive accommodation hence we booked summer view.
Our first impression was how friendly and helpful the staff were. We were on the 7th floor which was fine, the room had everything we needed and was spacious enough but was in need of redecorating. The bathroom was very much the same. All in all apart from needing a couple of coats of paint and maybe a new carpet the room had air con, a fridge and coffee/tea making facilities all you need for a couple of nights. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, cereal and various cooked items as well as toast, and the coffee was not too bad either.
Two things we were not too happy about was only getting 2towels (not very soft or white, now Im been picky) but I am sure if we had asked we could have got more. Secondly was the price of a small tin off tiger beer, 9dollars each, extortionate when we only paid 11dollars for 2bottles that were twice as big in the local restaurants.
