We were very pleased to arrive at the Copthorne Kings Hotel where we had a comfortable overnight stay on our way from Sri Lanka to Brisbane. Reception staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a small balcony intertwined with flowers. Breakfast was acceptable although there was less of a choice than we have experienced in other Copthorne hotels.

Nice hotel but little too expensive for location and quality. Room needs "facelift" really. We booked the room with balcony in order to spend time there but the balcony was SMALL without any chair or table :-( ,so why to charge more money for the balcony?? The closest metro station is pretty far, not behind the corner. Shuttle bus service was nice extra and breakfast was good.
Great view
This is our third stay, stay in a room with small balcony facing the main road this time. Woke up to a great view and sunrise in the morning. Had a variety of complimentary pillows to choose from. Hotel is located about a 10 minutes walk away from Great World City shopping centre. Nearby petrol kiosk has a 24hrs convenient store. Had a pleasant stay.
Recommended and will return.
Corridor was quiet and very well cleaned. Room felt new, and was clean and neat, despite having a small toilet. Room with a small balcony. Cable TV channels include; Discovery channel, HBO, MTV, ESPN, Starsports and BPL MIOStadium(live matches on weekends). Breakfast lacked of variety, but still recommended.
Extra night
While it was good that we got booked for an extra night ( 27th) arriving 5am, we should have been allowed a breakfast for what we had been charged for a room that was not comfortable.
Would not recomend Copthorne Kings Hotel to our friends.
I am quite happy with this hotel and would recommended to other people.
The only negative thing about it is location, it is not near shopping areas, you have to catch a bus or taxi to get to China town or Orchard road.

Excellent stay
We had 3 rooms. I think 2 of the rooms were smallish. Mine was excellent. Location was great (except for train!) - easy walk to the riverside bars, pool and sauna were great, breakfast was fantastic. Staff were very good, especially the concierge people.

People had a party in their balcony until 6 a.m. and I didin't sleep at all.Security didin't do nothing.

We arrived at night and could not get any milk to make tea from front desk ended up having to go to a nearby garage to get some
Found the bed very hard and we could not sleep when i complained the next morning was informed if I had requested could have had a bed softner ,also when we showered you had to get into a bath to do so, the duty manager offered to buy us lunch as a recompense but after not sleeping wasnt keen on lunch
