Affordable Price but Poor Taste of Food
The price for this hotel is affordable with a good location to town esp. Orchard area. One thing of discouragement is the food (Quality Cafe). Poor taste and bad selection of foods for the Porridge Buffet (not worth for money at all). The free buffet breakfast is totally out.
I've tried the Vegietarian Restaurant at 2nd level, the foods is okay compare to the others. Further improvement is to add more choices/ selection of foods.
This review is from a non-choosy eater. Soory for that, but the food is really OUT. If your intention of stay is just to spend a nite, then you can consider for the sake of price (If you need to get the food there, please Only consider the vegetarian restaurant at the 2nd level).

As others have said before you get what you pay for altogether i found it to be a clean hotel with a good location, the only comment id make to the hotel to improve would be to have some sort of segregation for smokers and non smokers ie non smoking floors

reception person didnt speak english - had to ask a number of people lots of chinese that talk really really load in the corridors - so you will not be able to sleep better value elsewhere

Quality Hotel Balestier
The property is old, room old, bed old, towels worn out. Location is great for food variety, all within walking distance. Walls between room are thin and you can hear people next door and everything going on in the hallway. HOtel food very good value and house entertainment looks good. Concierge staff very friendly. NOt enough counter staff.
HOtel rate should be at same price as Value HOtel and they are new.

Dissapointed
i am quite dissapointed with the room. Firstly the bed sheets smelled funny, cleanliness in room was quite poor. Also the room dont look anything like the picture online. So as a conclusion, im unhappy with Asiarooms and Quality Hotel for giving me an unpleasant stay.

There is a reason why the hotel...
There is a reason why the hotel does not give out the sqare footage of its rooms - they are minute. In our room the bed prevented the wardrobe doors from opening fully. No hand towels were provided. The dining room and its food was more akin to a budget hotel, and though the staff tried, they could not make up for the basic deficiencies of the place. I would avoid this hotel - there is much better value to be had in Singapore by paying a little bit more.
