A Welcome return
We last stayed at the Shangri La about ten years ago. This time we were staying for almost a week. It is not uncommon for a guest to feel a little disappointed when paying a return visit but this was not our experience at all. We were made to feel most welcome and the staff were absolutely superb, they could not do enough for us. We had been notified about the building work but this did not disturb us at all and the Shangri La remains a peaceful haven in a busy city. We are just looking at when we might be able to return again, it will be much sooner than last time.
Wonderful in every respect.

How it should be ..
A wonderful night's visit in the Valley Wing. We were really treated as Royalty - the staff can not do enough for you but still maintain that wonderful detachment so as not to be intrusive. Tipping is not essential but do because they really deserve it. The free champagne and buffet is rather like staying in an English Country House around cocktail hour. Very low key - a beautiful harp experience - delicious canapes and once again, service of yesteryear. My husband and I felt we were on honeymoon again. When we left - the entire front of desk staff escorted us outside and waved us off. We can't wait to return.
Please visit but not too often because I feel rather possessive of the Shangri La Singapore :)

An exquisite hotel, pricey but worth every...
An exquisite hotel, pricey but worth every penny. The room was huge and beautifully furnished. The staff were really kind and went out of their way to help us. After the first day some of them knew my name and greeted us that way! They went out of their way to make us feel special. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. We will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed at the Shangri La Valley...
We stayed at the Shangri La Valley Wing in March, for the second time, and received excellent sevice once again. When we arrived at the hotel we were told we had been upgraded to a suite. We were very surprised and delighted that we had been uprgaded to lovely rooms with a view of the pool and gardens. Everything perfect as usual except the fact...
Everything perfect as usual except the fact that when i checked in at about 6 pm on the executive floor , my room was not available ! The former customer had not check out leaving in luggages unpacked ! i had to spend a night in one "apartment" and could not unpack my luggages until the following day morning ! Not very convenient ! i have been nethertheless granted by 3 dinners at the "LINE" wih an excellent buffet !

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed out...
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed out stay at your hotel and would definitely stay again. We both felt very relaxed throughout our stay. My only complaint would be the chairs for outside dining at the Line Restaurant do need to be replaced. Thank you for a wonderful stay

We stayed in the Horizon club deluxe...
We stayed in the Horizon club deluxe suites and could not speak highly enough of hotel, service and staff. Breakfast was included in our room and it was fabulous. Loved the hotel.
