Room is very small and dirty. Staff not friendly. The hotel is very far from MRT station, not suitable for family.

very nice stay
The hotel room (deluxe) is clean (looks newly painted), every room features are functioning well (water heater, hair dryer, coffee maker, TV and adjustable aircondition). The staff are accommodating, it is just that they do not accept early check-in. It is just walking distance away from the Kallang MRT station. There are lot of eatery nearby the hotel. We didn't see the hotel easily though it is easy to locate because the name of the hotel facing the entrance of the alley is written in chinese, we need to get near the hotel to see it's name written in english in order to know that it is the hotel we are looking for. I can say that our whole stay was very nice and comfortable. I recommend this hotel to everyone who is on a financial budget and wants a nice place to stay. I will surely stay again in this hotel in my next visit to Singapore. : )

Value for money
Apart from rust being in the bath tub of the first two rooms they gave me, the hotel was again very good. The third room they offered me was more acceptable and good value for the money I had to pay.
The staff were friendly and helpful and provided a quick service whenever you needed them. Very convenient location for food and transport as well.

air conditioner could not be adjusted, there is no bed cover only a thin blanket, so it's too cold, could not sleep....
the area near the hotel is not good for family, there are still some prostitutes....

no customer contact pre booking
I asked about early check in pre booking , no reply I presumed ok , so I booked , on arrival no room , after pressure they offered me but at a charge of 37 sing , I refused to pay this and walked the streets for five hours , I have stayed many times in geylang area at hotel 81 no problem if I wish to arrive earlier , and no charge .

Noisy and not reponsive to request of quiet room!
We had specifically asked for a quiet rôm...we got a rôm in front ò the elevator on a floor that had two families with little kids, who ran around at night until midnight! Staff gave key for another rôom that smelled of smoke. Staff had no interest in trying to accomodate us even though we stayed two nights. Room was small and not clean. Toilet seat broken! was fixed the next day...........just imagine........ Will not ever return there. Price outrageous for accomodation and the area it was in. Far away from metro.....middle of Chinese/Indian area...not Singapore at all. It was dirty everywhere around hotel and streets!

As chinese is one of the official languages in Singapore I wonder why hotel front desk staff said that they did not speak chinese. The a/c unit in room no.517 making out an annoying sound like dripping water or draining water inside pipe line whenever the a/c unit was turnon. I complainted to the front desk but they did nothing.I thus needed to turn off the unit to sleep. Further more I did not have any one to tidy up the room on Sunday!! The front dest explained that there was a problem with the service staff.

Gute Metro-Anbindung
Wir haben insgesamt 5 Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht und haben uns dort recht wohl gefühlt. In 10 Minuten ist man an der MRT-Station Kallang und in kurzer Zeit im Zentrum. Gleich an der Strasse sind mehrere Asia-Restaurants, wo man sehr gut und günstig essen kann. Der Roomservice war vorbildlich. Dadurch, dass Wasserkocher und Kaffee kostenfrei im Zimmer angeboten werden, hat es nicht weiter gestört, dass es kein Frühstück gibt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 5. Stock, der Roomservice war vorbildlihch. Das einzige, was etwas gestört hat, ist die Hellhörigkeit zum Flur hin. Das WiFi ist kostenpflichtig, aber sehr schnell, was uns - da wir länger in Asien unterwegs waren - angenehm aufgefallen ist. Wir würden jederzeit wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten.

you get what you pay for
we stayed there for 7 days. Since we have read the review from others, so we were fully aware about the hotel. It is small, hard to move around in the room, the mattress is not comfortable. But guess what.. you get why you pay for. For next visit, I prefer to pay a little more for better accommodation.
