We stayed there 2 weeks. Hotel was very clean and nice. Staffs were very helpful. We enjoyed there but that was near RED ARIEA. Not very far from airport as well. Probably we will go there again.

The room was clean and ok for the price. The staff were friendly. Unfortunately, I don't recommend going outside at night. Outside is one of the worst red light districts I have seen in Asia. It seems safe enough if you ignore the pimps. I didn't feel any danger at all until I told one of the persistant pimps to "shut up." He then became more persistant to the point that I felt threatened. I then told him to back off or fight. It was pretty ugly. I won't be staying there again unless the police begin to do their job in Singapore. The hotel also has a back stairway that seems to be for the prostitutes.

I have stayed at the Crystal many times and will stay there again. The hotel's staff is always courteous and helpful.
The only problem I have has more to do with the guests, who sometimes slam doors. But for a budget hotel I am very satisfied.

I stayed 2 nights at the Fragrance Crystal hotel on a stop-over on my way to New Zealand. My room had a good shower, very good air conditioning and the sheets and towels were changed each day. It was possible to go downtown by train or taxi cheaply. I was very happy with my choose of hotel.

About the Fragrance Crystal.
I have stayted at this hotel several times and will stay there in the future. The rooms are always clean, the staff friendly. I never worry about theft. The only complaint I have isn't about the hotel or staff but about some guests, who slam doors constantly, and the slamming of doors can be heard throughout the floor.
This is a budget hotel, so for the price I give it a 10. The location, Geylang, is okay for me, but for single women or families this neighborhood might not be so nice, even if it is completely safe. Good transportation, close to the airport.
