For a budget hotel, the cleanliness of the room actually was actually better than what i was expecting.
The only con was that the room smelled slightly of cigarette and the sheets seemed to have a few tiny burnt spots caused by cigarette ash. Other than that the room was clean and the beds were made up each day. The toilet was clean and functional. The hotel staff was also friendly and helpful. And by booking via asia rooms i got free wifi for my entire stay there.
Location is conveniently close to Al Junid MRT (about 10-15 minutes walk). Of course the hotel is in the red light district so probably not recommended to bring your family with, but in general the area is pretty safe and no one really bothers you.

If geylang area is acceptable to you then this hotel is value for money
The bad side geylang area is considered a red district in singapore with many bars and prostitutes on the road, they are even in the road anytime of the day prospecting their clients.
the good side is the hotels here are not so expensive compare to other place,, there are many small restaurant in every corner of road, many fruit stores also in the place, post office is nearby which also has remittance services like western union.
the room size is ok, quite clean and hotel service is good.

perfect for me
this is my second time staying here, i like geylang area because very near to local eateries (hundreds of them), cheap hotel (60 sgd twin bedroom if you book through asiarooms), very clean although this time my room has cigarette smell but you can always ask for another room, free fast wifi internet connections, very close to bus stop, for directions, go to www.gothere.sg from geylang to orchard area only 1 bus ride, you don't have to switch bus or anything, will definitely come back
the people at the reception are nice and accomodating. the room is very small and the beds are very small. you get what you pay for since hotels are expensive in singapore unlike other asian countries, the neighborhood is ok. no disturbance and near MRT, 10 mins. walk.

the actual room and place was a far cry from the description. hotel (if it's even a hotel) smells like an ash tray from the moment you step inside the lobby. the room was so small and icky. stains were all over, molds cling to the crevices of the walls and floors. the scent is unclean and the tiny hallway is scary. bathroom is horrible! i don't mind that it is small but i do mind that it is infested with mildew and stains! ugh! i couldn't touch even the doorknob without tissue. i had to sleep using my personal towel and sarong over the bed because the sheets reeks of germs. the pillow case is not even made of cloth but fiber-ish material. the one used for eco-friendly bags in the supermarket. the room proved to be not sound proof because we can hear "crazy" sounds coming from the rooms even if we're at the elevator area! the street where the hotel is located is busy with women peddling their services---day and night!
the only positive thing i can say about the hotel is that the staff are friendly and helped us with our requests, pronto. they also didn't mind when i asked to change the room since the aircon wasn't working in the originally assigned room.
overall i'd give a 1 for this hotel. so much work should be done, really.

really cheap?
May be a cheaproom for Singapore. But you get where you pay for (may be too much). Small room, you don''t have fresh air in your room, you cannot open a window. Old airco, not clean air. Bathroom for dwarfs, open shower and the whole bathroom incl. toilet is wet. Blankets on the bed are synthetic, so you are sweating on/in your bed. If the management can make some changements here, it could be a goord stay.

Nice cosy small room
Is a small cosy room suitable for couple use. Location wise, is about 10 mins walk to Aljunied MRT. A little disappointed with the noise came from the air-condition's compressor which can be a disturbance for light sleeper like me.
Excellent Value
I found the room to be located in an excellent location. Close to the MRT Station. Only about a 5-10 min walk. My gf felt very safe in the area and had no problem walking around alone. The room was clean and maintained on a daily basis. Great value for the money being one of the cheapest in Singapore. Will stay there again and tell friends about.
Recomended for budget traveller
Near bus station and many store,, Muslim food,, easy to traveling to any place by bus,,, distric area but they polite enough,,, room was smalll but its ok,, Ac is worked and bathroom was clean,,, but no internet service,,, but it's ok for me,,, they gave good room for me as i request,,,
