There is actually nothing wrong with the accommodation, it is only a bit run down and slightly too small so that one cannot really move around.
Conveniant & reasonably priced
Firstly i've rated food to reflect on the overall grade as there isn't food but a lot of local resteraunts all in walking distance. The area is a red light district and is colourful at night but it is still safe but not recomended if traveling with children.
The room is a modest rate and bathroom a little tight but for value of money its ample. Don't be expecting 5 star. The staff are polite and willing to help.
I would be willing to stay at this hotel again as i found it a conveniently located place. Short 10min walk to the MRT station and from there you are just a few stops from most of the premier shopping areas, attractions etc.

Decent
It's a decent place to stay in, but the nearest MRT station is quite far away, about 15-20 mins walk. But it was a bargain since we planned to travel to Singapore at the very last minute and this was the cheapest that we could find.

Basicly just ok
I have booked 2twin rooms for my family but when we check in they gave us family room with connecting door. One room with double bed, and other room with 2twin beds. It was floor 5th, which was bit quiet. The room provide electric cattle, refri, coffee and tea. They change the bed sheet and towel everyday. The room size is small but considering the price I paid, it still accepted. The things that need to be improve just the front desk staffs. They must to learn how to smile and greet people more friendly.
You get what you pay for
This is a clean cheap hotel. Small rooms. Lots of excellent local street restaurants in the area. It is near a red light area, but lots of families eat in the area.
Good and clean hotel
The room was a bit small so we had to book another room for my son. Very clean hotel and nice but the staff do not speak English well and the hotel do not provide laundry services.

ehmmm i think im not really enjoy stay in this hotel coz the customer service it's not sooooooo friendly and there's no waiting chair in the lobby..... so i feel not so comfort here.............
Room 525 is Superb
I always travel to singapore on a monthly basis and Hotel 81 are among my favourites. This time around I was pleasantly surprised with hotel 81 orchid's, room 525 - it has a bathtub and the room was rather spacious and smelled nice. I spose twas the superior room cos i paid SGD70+ for it but it was lovely. I intend to request fr the same room if I go stay there again. :)
