A night in Singapore
Me and my family had a stopover in Singapore before going back to Dubai and we spent a night at Hotel81 Palace where the location is not very far from Changi Airport. It was a pleasant surprise because I book the room few months back at a promo price and when we arrived at the hotel I realize we saved a lot of money compare to their regular rate. I also appreciate how their rooms were maintained, it was very neat and clean. They also have friendly and very accommodating staff. After a night of stay in Singapore, we were totally satisfied. Thank you!
Great value, clean hotel, & an enjoyable time.
I stayed at Hotel 81 Palace for five nights and I was very pleased with my choice.
My room was cleaned every morning, new linen was provided (as were two bottles of complementary water), and I had a bathroom all to myself.
Singapore is a humid place, and the air-con came in handy at night. The hotel walls are solid, and there’s minimal noise from the outside. A large TV, kettle, hair dryer and mugs were also provided.
The reception on the TV wasn’t 100%, but I was still pleased with having two dedicated sports channels.
I had a wonderful stay. The closest train station (AlJunied) is a ten minute walk away. A one-way ticket to City Hall will cost $2.30 (and you will get $1 back when you refund your MRT card).
After 8pm the streets of Geylang become very interesting. Yes, there are lots of prostitutes, but they respect your space. The streets are filled with outdoor bars and restaurants. You will see most locals sipping on a Tiger beer and being relaxed. The streets might look dirty, but everyone there has a pleasant and laidback attitude. There are no bad vibes in Geylang, only good times and great food.
PS: A take-away store under Aljunied station sells whole meals (chicken & rice) from only $2! That’s unbeatable.

Cockroaches
We arrived at hotel 81 and our first impressions were good. Hotel staff were friendly and checked us in fine! we got to our room and thought it was quite small. we did read up on this so were aware but as we were only there for 2 nights we didnt mind! we were on the 7th floor and my girlfriends first comment was.....oh there shouldnt be any cockroaches up here! which you would think! on our first night it was fine, quiet, cosy and a comfy bed! on our 2nd night we were walking back to our room and there are a lot of prostitutes outside! again we were aware of this. they did not cause us any hassle or concern! but single men, beware! they seem like vultures! however, when we got back to the room, it was alive! in total we found 10 cockroaches! my girlfriend is petrified of them and didnt sleep a wink! this did not helpful as we had a long flight to new zealand the next day! when we checked out we made the receptionist aware of this and all we got from them was, oh i'm sorry about that!
If you like cockroaches and arent bothered by them this place will be perfect for you!

Good Experience on booking hotel with Asiarooms.com
I have booked hotel through Asiarooms.com and found very help full and easy way to get hotel with reasonable price but truely speaking Hotel 81 palance was not that much good enough . No frindly at all and response was very less. Even after repetitive asked by me about tourist info they did lazy to tell about anything except providing travel voucher even they did not arrange taxi for my return when there was heavy rain on that day and i was almost about to loose my flight .
Cheap + Good deal
Rooms are always clean, the place is 10-20 mins walk to the train station. cheap and good deal. i enjoyed my 4 night stay at the hotel. 4/5
Economically Fine
Hotel 81 - economically fine to sleep in after long day tours and city drives; and one that definitely suits your budget. Thanks for the free wi-fi too : )
Cheap in some ways
Even though the rooms are supposed to be for two, it is not recommended to stay here with two, because the rooms are so tiny. The matresses are covered with a plastic-like material, which makes the sheet slide easily and the bed not really comfortable. In total, the price is relatively low compared to hotels in Singapore,, and so is the quality.
