Although our preference was to stay at a hotel close to the airport because of an early morning departure, Changi Village, relatively speaking did not provide much advantage in that regard and all activities were quite some distance from the hotel. We will most likely opt to stay closer in to the city on our next trip.
As for the hotel, it was sufficient. Unfortunately, there were no dedicated non-smoking room and our room smelled of smoke. Service in the restaurant was less than adequate, and price was high for the fare offered. Other than that, the staff was quite accommodating and friendly.
