The superior room which i booked was much spacious than i thought.Real value for money.
But i happened to have a view of the double room which is much smaller.
Plus Points: The hotel is situated very near to Orchard road and that is a great plus point. Plenty of shopping malls in orchard road. Little India, Lim sim square etc is only a short ride away. Singapore visitors centre is a small walk from hotel in the Orchard road. That was great as we booked most of our trips like Night safari, Jurong bird park, City tour and Sentosa tour from there. Room was kept clean and house keeping service was great. There was no much sound from road. My room was in sixth floor facing the Karamat road. There is a locker in the room, which was great.
Now the negatives:
The lift size is too small, we had to use it 3 times to transport our luggage. I dont recommend this hotel for elderly people. The lobby is 10 steps high from road and we had to carry the luggage up the stairs to the lobby ourselves. This may be because we arrived at 3 am. In the day time, there is a hotel boy in the lobby who lifts and carry all luggage, so no problems.He was a great help. The wireless internet connection provided was a little expensive and you cannt do voice chatting or use VOIP phone. But basic internet speed was ok. The breakfast option was minimal, but there are plenty of restaurants, McDonald etc on Orchard road and many food courts in nearby shopping malls.
Overall": Great location and Superior Room was value for money at 150 dollars a day. I will surely recommend a superior room. Suitable for young people and middle aged but not for elders as the lift is too small and the lobby is 10 steps high from road. If you can afford to spend more, there are big hotels in the same location like Holiday Inn, Concord Orchard etc.
