I really enjoyed the stay at Royalatqueens. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The room was nice and very, very clean. Only the pool was a bit behind my expectations, but, in the end you do not travel to a city like Singapore for lying around at a pool.... A nice start into the day was the breakfast! A good selection plus good quality! Great: A cook (or two when demand was high) prepared fresh omelette, fried eggs etc. I was supprised that the was no kewing also the hotel was absolutely fully booked!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were most helpful when I discovered that I had left a folder of documents behind. They faxed copies of the ones I needed for the rest of our travels and held the folder for me to collect on my way home through Singapore. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were excellent.

Location excellent. Reception very helpful and efficient....
Location excellent. Reception very helpful and efficient. Pool disappointing with no accessable toilets and only cold showers and small changing area. Room clean but bathroom small and badly needing an update. Noisy renovations on floor above whilst we were there. Breakfast good but need more variety, we stayed 6 nights and there was little change in availability most mornings.

The reception was welcoming and the staff were helpful. The room smelt of tobacco smoke, but because I was only there for 2 nights and out most of the time I did not bother to say anything,so that is my own fault. The breakfast was good value.

I was quite disappointed with the condition of the bathroom as the paint were coming off and the shower + bath tub were in bad condition. The mattresses were a little too soft. Breakfast was bad. However, the service was great and for the amount of money paid, it is ok.

We arrived around 10pm and the desk...
We arrived around 10pm and the desk reception was very efficient, we were shown into our room on the 11th floor within 10 minutes, it was obvious that the room had undergone a recent update, the bed was was king size, and all the fittings and furniture was new , the bathroom was very new and had all modern fittings. A safe was in the wardrobe and there was plenty of hangers,A fridge bar was available,& there was a 32inch hdv tv and dvd player, all the electrics, and lights were operated by a touch pad at the side of the bed. The room was very nice and was entirely adequate but maybe a little small. The breakfast was very good and catererd for both east and western tastes, there was plenty of choice, even to having your eggs fried by a chef to ones own liking. The bar was modern and had a trio singing, but the drinks were expensive, and the entertainment was not worth the cost of the drinks, for $5 you could taxi to China town or Clark Key For more cheaper entertainment. The only important let down was, that the hotel doesn't have a curtesy room for late departing clients to shower, instead they allow you to use the showers in the swimming pool area, which are cold water only, they do provide clean towels. In summary, I was pleasantly suprised by the standards in the hotel, and would use it again. At the time of our stay there was some noise being generated from renovations to an adjoining hotel, but it wasn't to bad, and finished at 5pm.
