the dead queen may not like it (if she were alive)
victoria hotel is very accessible to and from the airport by bus!! and also to major points of interest such as orchard road and chinatown. bugis is 10mins on foot. the merlion a mere 20mins walk. the museums, 10mins!! food stalls are plenty. very good location!!
the rooms are very small with limited space to walk around; but the sheets are changed everyday and rooms cleaned. (congratulations to the housekeeping staff).
the frontoffice personnel are very helpful and know their way around their city. (the guys are more so than the ladies, i lament).
theres a steak house downstairs but wed rather try the kpis and the laksas; and the indian guy manning the money changing station has a pleasant disposition.
wed recommend this for friends travelling to singapore for leisure. but forewarn them of the tight space in the rooms!!!
the dead queen (victoria) may not like staying in our room had she been alive and chose to stay in it. but its value for money, wed say!!!
