Enjoyable 2N at Ibis on Bencoolen
My husband & I stayed there for 2N for Chinese New Year 2012. The room was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was bright and clean. I especially liked the aircon which we were able to control (unlike other hotels). The chamber maid spoke English (a plus point) and was very pleasant and courteous.

Tiny room with rock hard bed
I know that Singapore hotel accommodation is very expensive now but this was the most money I have ever paid for the least room. It was quite pleasant but so very small. The bathroom did work quite well. For me, this hotel had the perfect location - I love this area of Singapore. However the bed was just so hard and uncomfortable that I not only did not get a good nights sleep but also walked around with a sore hip all the next day. Even though I loved the location I could not willingly sleep in a bed like that again.

Basic, but very good
Conform with the Ibis standards, nothing special.
Good location.
We did not pay for the breakfast, it was expensive for us.

Like: I came early in the morning and was very kind they let us check in. The room was clean, and look modern. I'm an average size man so the room is reasonable. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel also encourage people to reuse the towels. Don't like: The fridge is very small, can probable fit three small drink bottles. There was no power point in the bath room, so my wife could not use her hair straightener with in front of any mirrors. Wi-Fi keeps dropping out and at one point can't login at all, when I call to the operator they told me the internet provider will call me. "No, I don't want to talk to no internet provider, that's your job, I just want to log onto the net!" Well I talk to them anyway and the result "we will restart the modem" but it still didn't work so I went to sleep. Others: This is right in Bugis where the markets is practically downstairs and Bugis Junction shopping centre is couple of minutes walk including the MRT. I will stay here again if it is cheaper than other hotels.

Room is quite small and the room rate is on the high side. However, the location is excellent.

Highly recommend
Enjoyed a very comfortable stay. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Rooms well designed to make good use of space. The staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful at all times. As with most air cons this one did make a bit of sound when all else was quite. I got a good deal with Asia Rooms so the price was right for such a great hotel. The hotel is conveniently located with walking distance to many places of interest and MRT is also close by.
