Perfect place to stay
I cannot say enough about this great hotel! Perfect for traveling and sightseeing. I am happy to have a great room, with internet to return to at night. The staff helped in every way by setting up cabs and scheduling tickets for various sight seeing adventures. And they remembered me by name every time I returned, asking how my day was.
Hype
This is a decent hotel.
But the hype in some other comments may lead people to expect much more than what a normal 3 to 4 star hotel can deliver.
On the positive side there is the friendliness of the personnel and there are modern clean rooms.
On the negative side ; the quality of the bed cushions, the very small rooms, the airco which we didn't get to produce the right temperature, the very basic breakfast, the location that will always require transportation, the noise from the road
We didn't sleep well. Probably due the the closed circuit aeration/airco system. The rooms was somewhat of a closed box. Windows can not be opened. The air was smelly and didn't feel natural. It felt more like New York than like green Singapore.
We were tired when leaving
My wife wouldn't join me for breakfast the third day due to the quality and lack of choice.
For those who can afford it, it's certainly better to spend a bit more and look elsewhere.

excellent hotel in Singapore
We stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of our trip. On both occasions we were really delighted with it. When we returned almost a month after our first visit, we were recognised and welcomed as returning guests and we were delighted to have our room upgraded. I would recommend this hotel to anyone - good location, helpful and friendly staff and lovely rooms.
lovely hotel great location
we really enjoyed the wangz. Great room, very modern but with character. Location is good - surrounded by traditional local restaurants and short walk to riverside eating places, slightly longer, but lovely walk to city along river. Close to underground station. Free soft drinks and wifi were a pleasant surprise. We're going back at the end of our trip for the final night and will definitely stay here again.
Pleasant Short Staying
Despite the room was located at the 2nd floor, the traffic noise was extremely low.
The sound insulation between room and room is really good.
The furniture design is quite good and moreover there was a very spacious bathroom .
The Hotel is located in a very convenient area , rather near to the Chinatown and to the Banks District.

I booked a Deluxe Room and was delighted to get a free upgrade to Canopy Room upon arrival. We had a little difficulty to locate the hotel lobby as the taxi driver could not find a proper place to drop us off. We eventually landed at the basement car park with our luggage. This was a minor flaw in the hotel architectural design.
Overall impression of the hotel ambience was very modern and chic. The room was spacious as compared to most Singapore hotel of similar grade. They have superb lighting and pipe-in music which was great for couples. The rain shower was delightful for a small bathroom. We love the soft bed and the fantastic pillows! Everywhere looked clean and neat. The hotel provided free local calls and Wi-Fi. They were also quite generous with free canned drinks in the mini bar, which most hotels charged a whopping price.
During the breafast on our second day, the kitchen forgot our order for eggs but that was negligible as the we were very impressed with the courtesy and friendliness of all staff of the hotel. Be they the concierge, waitress, receptionist and even the cleaning lady. They were very helpful and accomoddative to our request. Thumbs up for Wangz!
Wow what a hotel the rooms are...
Wow what a hotel the rooms are the best i have seen by far, it was very nice as there was was drinks every day on the house, the bathroom was great an open rain shower, the rooms was cleaned every day and the tvs great as there was lots of diffrent choices, the roof top bar was great as you get to see the twon in full, as soon as you step out it is very nosiey as there are alot of cars but you cannot hear in side the room. the front desk staff are great they always went out there way to help you, free internet, the hotel is well secured as you need a key to get in. the only down side is the breakfast as there is only the basci availabel. me and my family had special request and they did get the items for me, how ever they have ensured us they will improve the breckfast for the guests. the transport et work is great a taxi is availbel at any time of the day just inform recpection, but the train service is the best i have experanced, it is a short walk about 10 mins but it will take you any were you want and it is cheap. the hotel it self is very mondared and stlyesh. overall 10/10
Stayed for 2 nights in a twin...
Stayed for 2 nights in a twin share room and thoroughly enjoyed the Wangz. Because it is fairly new taxi's are not familiar so tell them it's next door to Link Hotel. Breakfast is semi buffet and they cook your eggs etc fresh. Rooms are spotless and very modern. Staff will go out of their way to assist you in any way. Being a boutique hotel I probably would'nt take kids there and if you want to avoid them this is the place. If you are planning a visit to the new casino you must take your passport!
