With just 86 luxurious rooms in a beautifully restored historic building, overlooking parkland, Hotel Fort Canning is very different from the average Singapore hotel. We had an Executive Double room with 2 converted verandahs: one a sitting room, the other a bathroom. Our room was on the 2nd floor on the park side. We were very happy with this arrangement. The only slight downside is the need to walk or take a taxi to shops and restaurants - but there is always a taxi nearby in Singapore and the walk to the closest MRT station is only 5 minutes. We explored Fort Canning Park for a couple of hours and enjoyed the excellent National and Peranakan Museums, both nearby. Highly recommended.

Hotel was perfect. From the check in we were shown the hotel facilities, taken to our room and shown how things work. During our stay staff were helpfull in every way. Nothing was to hard for them. Room and bathroom were a good size and clean clean and clean. Position of hotel is in Fort Canning Park and away from shops and eating places BUT the peacefullness being within the park is a great compensation. Taxis are cheap to get to and from hotel but we walked easily to MRT.
Enjoyed our stay at HFC
Lovely stay at HFC especially with their service. Staff were very friendly throughout our stay. We had a pleasant surprise at checkout when they waived off the beverages we consumed from the mini bar as well as the movies we watched - complimentary we were told as it was new year's eve weekend :)
Nice walk around fort canning and very close to various tourist spots - orchard road, national museum, clarke quay, etc. And yet away from crowd.
Facilities - big gym, two pools. Spa was not yet ready when we were there.
Food - enjoyed the NYE's menu at Gattopardo. Food from room service wasn't great though. Would recommend Novus at National Museum of Singapore - a short walk from HFC.
