Great location, unreasonable request
The location was great, right in the next street of Chinatown. The Inn itself is quite old and the room we were given had broken bathroom door. The stafff gave us a big room considering there are the 3 of us, however they refuse to give us 3 bath towel, which is very disappointing. And the reason given was that the room was designed for 2 people. However when we booked the accomodation through Asiarooms, it clearly says one child allowed and I emailed the Inn separately to confirm their policy on the child and was given in writing to confirm it's fine for the child to stay. Yet when I turned up, was told we can only have 2 bath towels, which is ridiculous.
They don't clean the room unless you ask them to, and you have to hand them the room key. There're bottled water for the first night, and that was it. The windows were covered by wooden frame and locked as though it can't be opened (not that I attempted to open the window as it was dusty and old) and when you turn off the lights at night, it's pitch black. The air cond is really hard to work out and after freezing to death for the first night, we end up asking the reception how to use the remote, make sure you do.
Apart from the poor service received for bath towel and the old age of the hotel, everything else can be lived with. This was my first trip and I wanted to stay at a convenient location, but would definitely think twice for my next trip.
