Very clean and friendly staffs
I only have one day transit to Singapore that's why I chose a backpackers hotel. I read that Five Stones is just new so I wanted to see if it was any good. I didn't realize that it was That new (only 4 months old)! The hotel is very, very clean. Though I find it inconvenient to remove your shoes in the walkways, I guess it is to maintain the cleanliness in the areas.
The room was really clean and I appreciated that each bunk had a night light and own outlet (plug) for charging your mobile or laptop. The room was too cold, though, and I don't know if there was any way to adjust the airconditioning.
The toilet and bath was very clean and water supply is very good. There's a built-in hair dryer and separate sink for washing hands and brushing teeth. There's also non-slip slippers you can use when taking a bath.
I'm not much of a breakfast person so I didn't mind that selection was limited. Cereals, Breads (with choices of spreads). My roommate said there were eggs being served but I didn't see it when I had breakfast. Coffee, tea, water (cold/hot) available the whole day.
The location is near the Clark Quay MRT station, only a few blocks away. Taxis are very difficult to find in the South Bridge road and I had to walk a few blocks just to find an available one. But it's not the hotel's fault anyway.
Overall I really liked this hostel and I will definitely go back here when I return to Singapore. This place is for friends and not really for families.

The location was great, 5 minutes walk to Clark Quay MRT station. Walking distance to Chinatown and Boat Quay approximate 5 minutes.
Staff were freindly and security system was great. The hostel provide lift convenience for the luggage traveller.The breackfast provided in toast and cereal. The hostel internal decoration was so nice.
I stay at female 6 bed dorm. The double bunk makes some noise while someone climb up to the upper bunk.
Overall, i will stay again for next travel to Singapore.

Superb Stay!
I couldn't ask for more. This hostel is quite central to everything. I love how clean it is and how friendly and helpful the staff is. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend it to everyone I know who is on a budget.
