Gordon’s Bay

Gordon’s Bay is a small idyllic seaside town on the Eastern side of False bay overlooking The Indian Ocean, Table mountain, Cape of Good Hope and the Hottentot Holland Mountains.
It is well located, just in the centre of the seaside, the mountains, the Winelands, Hermanus and the Mother city Capetown.
The climate is mediterranean and it has one of the most beautiful beaches with white sands, rock pools, shallow paddling areas and a calm sea. The sea is substantially warmer that the Atlantic side of Capetown.

3. Ideally located to a substantial number of outdoor activities like quadbiking, fishing, horse riding, diving, waterskiing, shark-cage diving, paragliding, nature reserve hikes, mountain biking and golfing
4. Pinquins in free nature at Pringle bay, much better than Simonstown and the Harold Potter Botanical Garden, smaller but as beautiful as Kirstenbosch. Both around the corner.
5. Centrally located at the beginning of the Overberg, an upcoming area with lots of touristic farming activities. Cape Aghulas is a nice daytrip from Gordon’s Bay.
6. During the Whale season the Whales come out to the shore of Gordon’s Bay.
7. Gordon’s Bay is surrounded by top-end golf courses like Arabella and Erinvale, but offers several great affordable golf courses like Hermanus, Strand and Gordon’s Bay.
8. Gordon’s Bay is surrounded by top-end wineries (www.waterkloofwines.co.za and www.journeysend.co.za) Both labeled under Stellenbosch but just five minutes situated from Colourful Manor.
9. There is several top end restaurants in the Area. Waterkloof is probably the most prestigious one. Kleinmond Harbour and Gordon’s Bay Harbour offers the freshest and most affordable fish restaurant in the area.
10. Gordon’s Bay is kid’s paradise with the blue flagged beaches, Harold Potter Botanical Garden, Pinquins in Pringle Bay, Monkey town, Blue ski waterparadise, Quad-biking, etc.
11. Due to the coastal influence Gordon’s Bay has a very attractive climate thru out the year. Breezing winds keeps it nice in Summer while the North face mountain side keep the heat a bit higher during winter days.
12. Quietly tucked away, privately located though in the direct vicinity of all the Cape has to offer.
