The Vuyani Lodge has been designed to limit its impact on the environment as far as only possible. A Calcamite wastewater treatment system allows a 99% cleaning of all waste waters that are then returned to nature by providing drinking water to the wildlife.

The Moditlo Private Game Reserve, set within the Blaubank Conservancy exceeding 17,000 hectares of pristine African bush land, is a sanctuary of Africa's rarest and most protected species. Rhinos, elephants, lions, cheetahs and leopards, to just name a few, roam freely through the reserve. Over 300 species of birds inhabit Moditlo.

Several highly endangered species, such as the ground-hornbill and the wild dog, have settled on Moditlo and have started breeding - much to the delight of the reserve's rangers, animal conservation experts and visitors alike.
