The Bad Do not walk to the hotel...
The Bad Do not walk to the hotel from Jagalchi Station unless you've packed light and in the mood for fish. Taking a cab from the station will cost about 2500 - 3000 WON which is very reasonable. As it is located within the area of Jagalchi market, the air around the area tends to be abit fishy. Not good for tourists who can't stand the smell of fish. However, once you're in your room, its perfectly fine. The Good The enormous room space and bed is perfect for lovers and couples to enjoy. The bathroom is spacious and the bathtub is able to fit a couple of asian built. Soap, shampoo, moisturizers and all the necessary stuff (hairspray etc...) are provided. There's even a balcony to enjoy a simple candle lit evening. The staff are friendly but speak limited english though this is not a big problem. Out of all the places we stayed in, my gf liked this one best. Do give it a shot.

The room and hotel looked great and...
The room and hotel looked great and were clean. Large signs out front in English. Just know you are on your own. I guess I expected the front desk staff to know at least some english, or for things/directions in the room to be labeled with some english-my error. The staff understood NO english, except the wonderful young man on Saturday who spoke some and saved the day. He insisted on getting us a cab and directing us to the correct beach. They forgot to clean our room one day, so we had no clean towels and our trash can was overfull. Front desk staff just looked at us when I asked why the room had not been cleaned(we left at 9:15Am and were gone until 4:14). Apparently they do not have wash clothes. Great view from the deck. The bridge lights up at night and is really pretty. The problem is the fish boat parked under our window started yelling directions to their staff on the speaker system at 6:45 AM for about an hour. The resturant was closed and we could not find out why. Looked like it was under construction?? The voucher did not have the hotel's address and NONE of the 8 cab drivers we used while we were their could locate it even with the address. You have to go down what looks like an alley to get to the hotel. They all had to call to get directions. The hotel is in the middle of the fishing district so it will smell like fish and you have to go about 1-2 miles to get to an area that does not look like the slums. Good luck with the A/C as nothing was in English. I pushed buttons and finally got some air, not cool air, just air. We had a couple unlock our door and walk in on us the first night at about 11:45PM. Talk about scary! It is a long cab ride to the beaches ($18,000 won each way) We also had red bumps all over when we got home, not such what they were from, but we have an idea. Next time we will stay on or next to the beach.

My friends and i stayed at this...
My friends and i stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. When we first arrived at the hotel we were all surprised at how big the rooms were. All rooms were slightly different when it came to design, but we all had a big bathroom, big rooms, a nice balcony with an incredible view, and additional little things in the rooms. The hospitality is awesome as well. The workers are great in that they helped us get around when we needed help. The English is not spoken that great but they try their best to give you suggestions and how to get places. One of the best things that the hotel included was free instant noodles. My friends loved this just because it was convenient and great when we were lazy to go out to get any snacks. Theirs also a little restaurant outside. Its an outside restaurant that was recommended by one of the workers at the hotel. It was of course Korean BBQ style, but we grilled fish and vegetables and wrapped them in lettuce. It was great. The overall experience was great. You should all check this place out if you decide to go to Busan.

The room was great - a little more "romantic" than anticipated! Location is out of the way - taxi drivers had a hard time finding it, I think it's a newer hotel. I would not recommend this for travelers hoping to get advice/assistance from the front desk - English was not a strength of this "tourist" hotel. If you can manage Busan on your own, the rooms are beautiful and the view is even better!

I am in the US Navy on a ship and before we pulled into Busan, a friend told me about asiarooms.com. A whole bunch of people from the ship booked this hotel @ $59/night. Now, I was thinking to myself that cheaper is not always better. However, when we arrived at the hotel (after several taxis took us the wrong way) I was very pleasantly suprised. The rooms were very spacious and modern. Mine was equipped with a nice sized TV and a computer with internet service. Bed was queen size typically asian in firmness. Bathroom was very nice. Any personal hygiene products you can think of were available. I will say that the hotel was probably a love hotel, but very tasteful and the only real giveaway was the condoms at bedside. Maybe this is normal for Korea but I don't think so. There is NO beach near the hotel. You are right on the water though with a nice view of the harbor. Just don't look down as it is located in the fish market area (very commercial). The location was not as centralized as some other hotels but once we figured out where we were at, it was very easy to get around. It's about a 20-30min walk to the International Market and maybe 45-1 hour to Texas street. A cab costs about $5 U.S. from the hotel to Texas street. Overall, I was very happy with the accomodations and will definately book a room here the next time I'm in Busan.

My wife and I stayed at the...
My wife and I stayed at the Busan Beach Tourist Hotel week and half ago for one night. While I basically liked the hotel and price, perhaps one of the things that most stands out about the hotel is its location, which is not really convenient if you're planning on being on foot. It's quite a walk from Jalgalchi station, the nearest station. Also, during that walk, there are not really places to eat or things to see (though there is one street market on the way). We ended up taking a taxi to Jalgalchi station each time, which was about 2000 won one way-- very cheap and definitely the way to go. While, it's very close to the main road, a left turn and then 100 meters down or so by some fish packing plants, it would be advisable to get the hotel card from the hotel which shows its location on a small map -- very helpful for taxi drivers. We found half of them did not know the hotel. Otherwise, our room had a nice view of the water and the bridge, a computer with internet in the room, all drinks from the refrigerator for free (a few bottles of water and soda), and a bounty of free shampoo and other bathing products. We were on the 5th floor, and it was basically quiet. We had a deluxe, seaside room -- probably worth whatever you'd spend on it. So, I really liked the hotel. The location is by far the biggest drawback.

The hotel is situated right behind the...
The hotel is situated right behind the harbour wall next to the fishing industry buildings. It only takes 5 minutes by taxi to get into the main shopping and night life area of Nampodong. There are lots of taxi's about and they are very cheap too, many times cheaper then the underground or bus. The guys in the reception wrote a note on a piece of paper with the directions how to get to the hotel which we always showed to the taxi driver. It was a very good idea and we had no problems. Our rooms were big and nicely furnished, with a balcony over looking the harbour and harbour bridge which has a lovely light display at night time, until 10pm. The bathrooms were clean too. Some of the staff spoke English, others understood what we wanted and every one was very helpful. When you visit Busan to see some thing from the area, then I can recommend the hotel. Busan tower is near by in the Nampodong area and the view from the top of the tower over the town is fantastic. Access to the underground is also close by which brings you to all the main beaches and also to the temples. I can recommend the Beomosa Temple in the mountains. Jagalchi Fish Market, is a fantastic experience with all sorts of different types of fish. Yes, the hotel is tucked away and perhaps difficult to find but well worth a stay.

if you plan to stay near the busan station it's a great deal, it was hard to find, best way is to try to catch a cab that knows how to get their to the hotel. our cab guy called the hotel and ask for directions. the hotel is not on the beach it has a view of the harbor instead and they set it up for how a couple would like on vacation.

Great place, beautiful rooms - a little remotely situated but breathtaking balcony view; adjacent fishing industries interesting to watch but also noisy at times. That stay was a definite high for us.
