Our stay at Elysee hotel was very...
Our stay at Elysee hotel was very comfortable. It has a bit of a love motel feel, however the bathroom in the deluxe room had a jacuzzi, and steam/shower which I was very pleased with. The location is fantastic! It is right downtown, 3 minutes walk from Busan Tower, 10 minute walk from markets, 15 minutes taxi from the nearest Beach. The owner was very friendly and helpful even offering us umbrellas, and a ride to the station for a small fee. He spoke good english and was able to understand our requests. I would definatley recommend it as an inexpensive place to stay. Please note that the beds are quite firm as this is how almost all Korean beds are.

We were really impressed by Mr. Sungho...
We were really impressed by Mr. Sungho he is truly one of the nicest people we met on our trip to South Korea. His customer service was excellent and he did his best to make us feel welcome. The room itself was a good size and there was plent of free movies to choose from on the tv. The sauna in the bathroom was also great after a long day of sightseeing. We would absolutely go back here and look forward to coming back soon!

Room was as pictured on site. Hotel...
Room was as pictured on site. Hotel is a little older, so has some of the expected wear, but is still in good shape, kept clean, and pretty quiet. The room and bathroom were large. Room had mini-fridge, vanity area, small table, big screen tv with free movies and video library on each floor. Located close to a variety of shops and restaurants. Close to subway and easy to catch a taxi. Owner was in contact immediately after booking and provided excellent directions to hotel with map and local images. Owner speaks good English and is very helpful. Both he and the staff were friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to provide maps, directions, and info about tourism in Busan. He even drove me to the ferry terminal for less than what it would cost to open the door via taxi. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends. Perfect for anyone on a budget.

We spent five nights here and were very pleased with everything. The hotel is located right in the centre of town, but it's still pretty quiet. So all the markets and the main shopping street are within walking distance. The rooms have so many electrical gadgets (as well as a steam bath and a jacuzzi) that you'll propably end up spending more time in the hotel than out and about. The owner was really nice with us and helped us with everything we needed.

The owner was very kind to us. Called us and gave us some ideas on where to go etc. and on our final day, he drove us to busan station because i was not feeling well due to some indigestion. So i can say the service is very good. As for location wise, you have to walk up quite high as its just behind a a mountain. overall, its quite a good place to stay.

My wife and I spent the Lunar...
My wife and I spent the Lunar New Year 2010 in Busan, staying at Elysee Hotel. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The rooms have radiant heat in the floor which made for an extremely comfortable environment. Our bathroom had a multi-function shower (which drained into the main bathroom drain- not a separate shower drain (?)), jacuzzi, and steam sauna (in the shower). Rooms have a plethora of electronic amenities: computer, CD / DVD, audio, flat screen TV and video tape- for which there is a small library on each floor. Most notable was the proprietor, Mr. Sung Ho. He was helpful, accessible, and friendly- a wealth of information for us (!). Despite the language barrier inherent for non-Koreans (I am Western and my wife, Chinese), Mr Sung was able to advise, translate and direct us to notable sights. He made our trip memorable! The hotel is located in, what we now consider, the epicenter of Busan- within a 10 minute walk to international shopping, an incredible fish market, Lotte, and a diverse assortment of cafes and local restaurants. An escalator is convenient for returning (uphill) from the 'shopping street'.

Surprisingly convenient location, right next to Yongdusan...
Surprisingly convenient location, right next to Yongdusan Park (just go up a flight of stairs), walking distance from the Nampodong subway station, shopping street, markets and the Mi Ta Sun Won Buddhist temple is nearby. The Motel does not serve breakfast but there are many restaurants, cafeterias that serves western & Korean food and convenient stores are everwhere. Although the motel is situated in the city centre, it is nicely tucked in a quiet corner, so there is no disturbance from traffic or loud music from shops. The room with PC,sauna & jacuzzi is value for money. Room is well equipped with fridge, aircon, drinking water, TV & DVD, furnishing is simple but cosy & clean, no foul smell. The friendly staff speaks English & can give good advice as to where to shop & dine. A Korean family runs the motel, so it´s almost like a Korean homestay. I will return to this motel the next time I visit Busan.
