I stayed at Co-op Residence Uljiro (Euljiro)...
I stayed at Co-op Residence Uljiro (Euljiro) from 22 Dec to 24 Dec with a friend of mine. The twin sharing room is cosy and the place is just nice for both of us. However, if you're used to a more spacious room, you might want to book the suite instead. The room is well equipped with facilities as those listed on the net.
One reason I chose the co-op is it's value for money, especially so if you're on a budget trip and just needed a place to rest and sleep. Another plus point is that it's just a stone throw away to the Dongdaemun Stadium subway and the Dongdaemun shopping area. Checking in and out of the residence is a breeze, and the staffs are relatively friendly and helpful at all times.
However, needed some help in getting to the residence by taxi. Some useful tips, 1) tell the taxi driver it's along Euljiro, as spelt with a "E", that's what's being used in Korea's signboard, 2) it's directly opposite the National Medical centre, a more obvious building around the vicinity, or if not, 3) ask the taxi driver to drop you off somewhere near to the dongdaemun stadium subway, just need to walk a few metres to the residence.

I do think that it is a very nice accomodation for the merchandiser who need to do some businesss in Dongdaemun, but so strange, though it is very near from Dongdaemun, but those taxi driver always dont know how to go there.

Not really a "hotel" - more like a serviced flat arrangement, but great for business or other travelers who desire modern comfort on a budget. High-speed internet hooked up easily to my laptop. Room was clean and comfortable and location is very convenient. Easy access to airport by taking short cheap taxi to nearby Shilla Hotel and taking KAL bus from there. Would definitely stay there again.

Very nice and good price. Good location close to the underground station. High-speed internet (ethernet) in the room (free of charge). Coin laundry in the basement.

Great location. Right next to Dongdaemun Stadium Station and Dongdaemun Market. Also few shopping malls in the area. Dongdaemun area is busy all the time is open 24/7. Friendly staff. Wish I had a computer in my room although I stayed for a short time. Overall, great place to stay if you're not staying in Korea that long. Kitchen was great too!

Rooms are small but cleaning could be slightly better. Pricing OK and staff friendly. Free Internet-connection for your laptop very nice. Location good near the metrostation and shopping area. Breakfast quite poor as the hotel restaurant but you can make your own breakfast in the room. Would stay at the Co op Residence Uljiro again and would recommend to anyone who is travelling with his/her own expense. anon / Finland

Although the facilities were exceptionally clean and well maintained, I think the room was slightly overpriced for what you get and the location i.e. not in a tourist district.
That said, the staff at the residence were very very friendly and helpful. They truly made us feel very welcome and gave us any assistance we needed. The subway station and shopping centre/restaurants were literally a stone's throw away and the area was very lively by night.
I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for simple, non-fussy, clean accommodation
