Good stay
Clean room, feel like home, microwave,cattle, kitchen wares are provided. Compare to Co op Residence this hotel is much more better and bigger ,only a few block away. 5 minutes walk to subway. Nearby Doosan & Milgore, not much thing to shop compare to Myengdong.
GREAT location and terrific hotel
Size of room was a lot bigger than I had expected and was very clean. Overall a fantastic hotel only a few minutes from one of the most central metro stops in Seoul.

1.The location is good near dongdaemun shopping area.
2.The airport bus 6001 stops in front of the hotel. 3.However, the room is smelly.
4.The service was also bad. The hotel offered us mineral water the first day. The second day,it offered none. We asked for the mineral water. The staff replied that it's only for the first day. We were very hungry. We paid the same price, why the service is only for the first day.
The staff was not very nice. I won't go there again.

The room we had was dark and lacked any kind of welcoming atmosphere. Generally, the decor of the hotel was poor. The beds were small. The bathroom was at least clean and everything in it worked. But the wi-fi that was supposed to be available in our room wasn't working. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I stayed in this hotel during Jun 09 for 5 nights.
The hotel location is good and room size is okay for 2 persons. The receptionist is quite helpful though. However, the bathroom size was extremely small and the heater is not working well and I had a difficult time bathing as the temperature kept fluctuating. The room housekeeping was also not efficient as they did not wash the used hotel utensils and service was only limited to changing of towels,floormat and tidying of bed. Stuff like shampoo, toothpaste also not provided. On one ocassion, room housekeeping came in quite early and as we will inside the room, she did not come in. Afterwhich, there was no housekeeping at all for that day.

From the name, it's indeed more like a serviced Apartment than a hotel. The room is fairly big, however it is subdivided into kitchen, study desk, and bedroom area. Therefore, the bedroom space is a bit small. However overall it’s clean and tidy, extremely accessible to the Metro station (Exit 12 from Dongdaemun Stadium Stn.), walking distance to chains of restaurants/cafe, fast food (loteria/ twotwo chicken), GS25 convenience stores, shopping districts (good morning/Migliore) - a good place for last minute shopping. From what I know, internet access is only available at the lobby where they provide free internet access and free usage of computer. The English speaking staff is helpful -helping us in taxi booking and confirmation of our domestic flights. Since I spent most of my time travelling, it’s a good choice for my stay in Seoul.

The proximity of the hotel to the Dongdaemen Stadium subway makes this one of the better located hotels at the Dongdaemen district. It's not smack in the center of the district's shopping/drinking nightlife but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
The rooms are spacious but the toiletries are sparse so you have to bring your own toothbrush, soap and shampoo. Free copies of the AWSJ and free internet at the lobby are a welcome respite for non-Korean speaking tourists.
Note that there's another 'coop residences' 200m before the Western Coop so don't get confused.
I thought it was a good place...
I thought it was a good place to stay. I didn't have a refrigerator in my room and it would've been nice to have an air conditioner because it got kind of hot in the room. Also, you should provide small bath towels. Other than that I had a wonderful time and hope to be back later this year. Aloha.
I gave the night shift front desk...
I gave the night shift front desk agent a name of the store that we found online and asked him where is it on the map. He said he doesn't know.
I took out the address for the store which I found online previously. He told me "You cannot find the place with the address..."
I asked him how I can get there then? He told me to take the taxi.
On the website, the store owner indicated that it was only 5 minute walking distance from the Seoul Main Station. I just needed to verify which direction and the exact location of the store. I was shocked that the agent gave me this kind of response.

We enjoyed our stay at this clean and conveniently located serviced apartment hotel. It is near to Dongdaemun Stadium subway station and many eateries/restaurants (all within 5-min's walk). Dongdaemun Stadium subway station serves subway lines 2, 4 and 5 which connects easily to all sights and shopping areas in Seoul. From Incheon Airport, take Airport Bus 6002, alight at Jongno 6-ga (Dongdaemun Market), walk 10 mins, to Western Coop Residence. To Incheon Airport, enquire details from Western Coop Residence's reception staff. In brief, take a cab from Western Coop Residence to Best Western Hotel, 3-min ride, 2000 wons. The airport bus-stop is in front of Best Western Hotel. Take Airport Bus 6015 to Incheon Airport. Both to and from airport takes about 1 hr 20 mins each way, and 9000 wons per adult per journey. Have a pleasant trip like we did!
