The Hotel Estela Barcelona – Hotel del Arte is located in Sitges, in the Aiguadolç Port area, 15 minutes far from de international airport and 30 minutes far from Barcelona’s city center.

The hotel’s very special charm can already be seen in its entry-hall. There you can find an original scenario of waterfalls, flighing steps, spheres and a pool of the highly-reputed Spanish artist Josep Mª Subirachs. However, some will rather surrender to the sculptures of Lorenzo Quinn or to the modern art of Josep Puigmartí.

If you enter the Restaurante Iris you will find a perfect symbiosis between gastronomy and art. An exquisite choice of freshly-made Mediterranean style dishes will welcome you in a creative setting with temporally art expositions and works of Tapies, Miró or Salvador Dalí.

Its 64 spacious rooms, all with sea views, are equipped with the most modern technology: direct-line telephone, satellite TV with video channel, computer and fax connections, air-conditioning and heating, full equipped bathroom, mini-bar, safety-box and piped music.

All this without forgetting to mention the most important feature of this Hotel: the “Art-Rooms”. In these special rooms you will feel like entering in a dream world, where its walls and ceilings were used by Spanish painters to express their feelings and emotions. Feel free to sleep among works of: Xaus, Grau Garriga, Subirachs, Joan Iriarte, Paco Duran, Quim Hereu, Josep Puigmartí, Vilallonga or Xesco Mercé.

Two swimming pools and a garden, in which sculptures like those of Luis Cadarso, Lautaro Díaz or Javier Cuenca “grow”, make up part of the hotel’s exterior. Also the car park is converted by Adelardo, a painter who uses a combination of airbrush and other techniques, into an exhibition of murals showing prototype cars.
