Summary

The Parador de Tortosa Hotel   was built in 1976Among the early constructions, the walled enclosure and what were the governor's Palace and royal residence have been preserved. The current dining- hall occupies a large part of the former Palace and today is endowed with some very extensive windows, fine examples of the catalonian gothic style.

The newer parts of the building also feature extensive balconies which bathe all of the rooms with light, contradicting the habitual dark image of other medieval castles.
