We had a fantastic stay at Earl's Regency Kandy.
The food was very good, everything perfect!
And last but not least we had the chance to see the Perahera,Marvellous!

Idealy located in a pleasent surrounding,choice of good food in the restaurant. Freindly staffs and helpfull.
I would like to mention that the staff should be familiar with the knowledge of other cultural/religions practices. I was there on Friday and was unable to attend (missed the Friday Juma Prayers at the Mosque)as the staff was not aware of the prayer times of Mosques in Kandy. By the time I reached the mosque the prayers have been completed.

Beautiful hotel, a little bit out of...
Beautiful hotel, a little bit out of Kandy but that was fine since there's not that much to do in the city at night anyway. Great rooms, lovely pool and grounds, and a few entertainment options if you choose to spend a night at the hotel. Definitely recommended.

We stayed for 5 nights during Feb 2008. The hotel location is fantastic as it is 5 minutes from Kandy city in a taxi and is set in a very green and tropical surrounding. The facilities are excellent, staff genuinely friendly and curteous and the food served in the restaurant is fantastic.
There was a slight issue with doors slamming ( noisy staff / cleaners ) in the morning, but apart from that, we could not fault our stay.The hotel is great value and would definitely recommend it.

Once we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the staff, our luggage was transferred to our room and whilst we completed a form with our personal details we were given a refresher towel and a juice, which was excellent.
The room overlooked the pool, it was on the fourth floor, there was excelllent service provided by all, the breakfast were not the best, partly because although we stayed during the easter break, the hotel was hardly occupied but there was still a wide variety.
Overall we had a great break in Kandy, and this is probably the best hotel in Kandy.
I would recommend this hotel to all visiting Kandy Sri Lanka.

The room was big enough and well...
The room was big enough and well equipped. The disappointment we had with this hotel was the noise level. There was quite a bit of noise from outside the room in the early morning, presumably from hotel housekeeping staff in corridor outside the room. The noise seemed to come in via the bathroom ventilation. I did not realise that the hotel was quite so far outside of Kandy centre, and we needed transport to visit the main sites.
